Saudi Crown Prince Cup
The Saudi Crown Prince's Cup ( ar, كأس ولي العهد) was the Saudi Arabian annual cup competition. It was the oldest domestic football competition in Saudi Arabia, its first edition was held in 1956–57, but was not crowned from 1975 until 1990. The competition consists of teams from the top two tiers of Saudi league football (Professional League and First Division League), as well as the competition runs from August until February. Al-Hilal have won the most titles with 13 wins, also Al-Hilal has contested more finals with 17. Al-Ittihad is the last champion being the winner of 2016–17 season. Al-Ittihad Saudi Arabian Club ( ar, نادي الإتحاد العربي السعودي), referred to as Al-Ittihad, is a professional football club based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, founded in 1927. The club has spent its entire history in the top flight of football in Saudi Arabia, currently known as the Saudi Professional League. Al-Ittihad matches are played at its main stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, is the second-largest stadium in Saudi Arabia, which has a capacity of 62,000 spectators. Al Ittihad has a long-standing rivalry with Al-Hilal, which is referred as ''Saudi El Clasico'', which is considered the most prominent and most followed match in Saudi football. 1998 Saudi Crown Prince Cup
The 1998 Crown Prince Cup was the 23rd season of the Saudi premier football knockout tournament since its establishment in 1957. The main competition started on 31 January and concluded with the final on 11 March 1998. Al-Ittihad were the defending champions; however, they were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Al-Shabab. In the final, Al-Ahli defeated Al-Riyadh 3–2 with a golden goal during extra time to secure their third title and first since 1970. The final was held at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. As winners of the tournament, Al-Ahli qualified for the 1999–2000 Asian Cup Winners' Cup. As runners-up, Al-Riyadh qualified for the 1999 Arab Cup Winners' Cup. Al-Tai Football Club ( ar, نادي الطائي, nādī aṭ-ṭāyyī, Tayy Club) is a professional football club based in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia, that plays in the Saudi Professional League, the top tier of Saudi football. It was founded in 1961. Al-Tai have won the Saudi First Division three times, first in the 1984–85 season and last in the 2000–01 season, and have finished runners-up once in the Saudi First Division once in the 1977–78 season. Al-Tai have finished third once during the 2020–21 and earned promotion to the Pro League for the first time since 2008. Overtime (sports)
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament. Al-Riyadh Saudi Club () is a football team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that is currently playing in the Saudi Second Division (third level). Al-Shabab Football Club ( ar, نادي الشباب), or The Youth Football Club, in English, is a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Riyadh. It was founded in 1947, and was at first named ''Shabab Al Riyadh''. (), meaning Riyadhi Youth, but in 1967 was renamed ''Al Shabab''. History Al Shabab was the First football club in Riyadh. The club began before 1947, with many conflicts before with its numerous members, but it was settled in 1947 and Abdulrahman Bin Saeed was the president. Five years later, Al Shabab won its first tournament beating Sakit Al Hadeed (Railway Club) in Riyadh. Three years later, in 1955 Al Shabab beat the Military College to win the King Saud Cup.
