Satellite EP
''Satellite EP'' is the fifth EP by the rock band Guster. It was released on 10 April 2007. It is Guster's third EP with the musician Joe Pisapia. The EP includes both live recordings and songs recorded during the creation of ''Ganging Up On The Sun'' but not included on the album. The Astronauts, a producing team, remixed a techno-inspired version of "Satellite" that appears on this EP as well. This was first released as an iTunes single and a radio edit of this song received airplay on radio stations. " Two of Us" is a Beatles song which the band covers on the EP. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is a somewhat less-than-serious cover of the original Bonnie Tyler song, recorded at a concert at the State Theater in Portland, Maine. Brian Rosenworcel, the band's drummer, sings the lead vocals, a rare occurrence in Guster's music. Reverb, an environmental action group of the guitarist/vocalist Adam Gardner and his wife, helped to produce this EP as entirely carbon neutral. The CD ... Guster
Guster is an American alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Founding members Adam Gardner, Ryan Miller, and Brian Rosenworcel began practice sessions while attending Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and formed the band in 1991. The members met during the freshman Wilderness Orientation program in August of that year, playing publicly together as a trio two months later at the Midnight Cafe coffee house set in the common area of the Lewis Hall dormitory. While attending Tufts, the band lived at 139 College Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. The band stayed "underground" for its first two full-length albums, ''Parachute'' (1994) and '' Goldfly'' (1997), but broke into the musical mainstream in 1999 with its third studio album ''Lost and Gone Forever'', featuring the single "Fa Fa", which made it onto the Adult Top 40. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is a song recorded by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. It was written and produced by Jim Steinman, and released on Tyler's fifth studio album, ''Faster Than the Speed of Night'' (1983). The song was released as a single by CBS/ Columbia in 1983. The song became Tyler's biggest career hit, topping the UK Singles Chart, and becoming the fifth-best-selling single in 1983 in the United Kingdom. KCRW (89.9 MHz FM) is a National Public Radio member station broadcasting from the campus of Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California, where the station is licensed. KCRW airs original news and music programming in addition to programming from NPR and other affiliates. A network of repeaters and broadcast translators, as well as internet radio, allows the station to serve the Greater Los Angeles area and other communities in Southern California. Menno Meyjes
Menno Meyjes (born 1954, Eindhoven) is a Dutch-born screenwriter, film director, and film producer. Meyjes moved to the United States in 1972 and studied at San Francisco Art Institute. He was nominated for several awards for his screenplay to the 1985 film ''The Color Purple'', adapted from the novel by Alice Walker. In 1989, he gained recognition for cowriting ''Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'' with George Lucas and winning a Goya Award for '' El Sueño del mono loco''. Adam Gardner
Adam Seth Gardner (born May 31, 1973) is an American guitarist and vocalist of the band Guster and a member of the Tufts University Beelzebubs. Gardner grew up outside Morristown, New Jersey, and played for a band called Royal Flush while a student at the Pingry School, from which he graduated in 1991. He also attended Harding Township School in New Vernon, New Jersey. Gardner, working with Dave Schneider, created a side-project in 2005 called The LeeVees. Its album, ''Hanukkah Rocks'', consists of humorous original songs about the Jewish holiday.
