Sarathi, also called Kadali Jaya Sarathi, (26 June 1942 – 1 August 2022) was an Indian comedic actor and producer in the Telugu film industry. His most notable roles are in ''Manavuri Pandavulu'', ''Bobilli Brahmanna'', ''Driver Ramudu'', ''Bakta Kannappa'' and ''Jaganmohini''. Sarathi died from kidney ailments at a hospital in Hyderabad on 1 August 2022, at the age of 80. ''Jaganmohini'' () is a 1978 Telugu-language drama film produced and directed by B. Vittalacharya. The movie was a remake of the 1951 Kannada movie '' Jaganmohini''. The film stars Narasimha Raju, Prabha and Jayamalini. The film was dubbed in Tamil. ''Jaganmohini'' became a major hit and even performed better than the films of big stars. The movie had the best visual effects according to Indian standards at that time. This is the story of woman betrayed by a king, who reappears in her next life as a ghost intent on possessing him. ''Amara Deepam'' () is a 1977 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Krishnam Raju, Murali Mohan and Jayasudha. It is a remake of the Malayalam film ''Theekkanal'' (1976) which was earlier remade in Tamil as ''Dheepam'' (1977). The film was released on 29 September 1977.
