Kanjibhai Rathod
Kanjibhai Rathod was an Indian film director. Early life Kanjibhai Rathod from Maroli village in south Gujarat, was considered the first successful director in Indian cinema. His rise to fame in an era when most people stayed away from films due to a peculiar stigma attached to the filmdom. Not much is known about Rathod's personal life. Jayshree Gadkar (21 February 1942 – 29 August 2008) was a noted Marathi and Hindi movie actress and a star of Marathi cinema from the 1950s up to the 1980s. Personal life Jayshree was born into a Konkani-speaking family at Kanasgiri (Sadashivgad) near Karwar in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India. She married Bal Dhuri, a theatre actor best known for his portrayal of Dashratha in Ramanand Sagar's TV serial, ''Ramayana'' (where Jayashree herself played his wife, Kaushalya). Sardar Malik
Sardar Malik (13 January 1930 – 27 January 2006) was an Indian Hindi film music director and score composer. Early life and career Sardar Malik was born on 13 January 1930 in Kapurthala, Punjab, British India. He first was a student at Uday Shankar's India Cultural Centre in Almora, Uttarkhand to learn dancing and singing. He became a trained choreographer in Kathakali, Manipuri and Bharatnatyam there. While at this institute, he also learned music from Ustad Allauddin Khan who also worked at the same centre. Later he came to Bollywood in the late 1940s and was the music director for over 600 songs. He is known for his work for films ''Thokar (1953 film)'', '' Aulad'' (1954), ''Bachpan'' (1963 film), ''Maharani Padmini'' (1964 film), and especially his big musical hit film '' Saranga'' (1961). Soumendu Roy (born 1933) is an Indian cinematographer most known for his work with noted director Satyajit Ray's films, starting with ''Teen Kanya'' (1961), when Subrata Mitra developed an eye-problem, though he has earlier shot Ray's documentary ''Rabindranath Tagore'' (1961) and has been an assistant to Subrata in post ''Pather Panchali'' films. Bharat Vyas (1918–1982) was a noted Indian lyricist who wrote the songs for Hindi films in 1950s and 1960s. Biography Bharat Vyas was born in Bikaner in British India on 06 January 1918 in Pushkarna Brahmin family. He studied B.Com. at Calcutta and after completing his studies he came to Bombay. His first film as lyricist was '' Duhaai'' (1943). He was the writer of the prayer song, ‘Ae Malik Tere Bande Hum’ and ' Ye Kaun Chitrakar Hai'. He directed a Bollywood film '' Rangila Rajasthan'' (1949) for which he wrote the lyrics and composed three songs. Mukesh Chand Mathur (22 July 1923 – 27 August 1976), better known mononymously as Mukesh, was an Indian playback singer. Mukesh is considered to be one of the most popular and acclaimed playback singers of the Hindi film industry.
