Sarandà Del YÃ
Sarandà del Yà is a city in the Durazno Department of central Uruguay. Location It is located on the north bank of the river RÃo Yi, and on the intersection of Route 6 with Route 14, about east of Durazno, the capital of the department. The nearest populated centre, to the south, is the small town of Capilla del Sauce of the Florida Department. History A "Pueblo" (village) was founded here on 19 December 1875. On 13 June 1906 its status was elevated to "Villa" (town) by the Act of Ley N° 3.041, and then on 23 August 1956, to "Ciudad" (city) by the Act of Ley N° 12.308. Uruguay consists of 19 departments (''departamentos''). Each department has a legislature called a Departmental Board. The ''Intendente'' is the department's chief executive. History The first division of the Republic into six departments occurred on 27 January 1816. In February of the same year, two more departments were formed, and in 1828 one more was added. When the First Constitution was signed in 1830, there were nine departments. These were the departments of Montevideo, Maldonado, Canelones, San José, Colonia, Soriano, Paysandú, Durazno and Cerro Largo. Telephone Numbers In Uruguay
Uruguay's calling code is +598. Since 2010, national long distance calling was eliminated, thus there are no area codes in each city. Landline telephony ANTEL (Spanish abbreviation for National Administration of Telecommunications) is Uruguay's state-owned company for telecommunications. Previously in Uruguay, phone numbers used to have between 4 and 7 digits. To make a local phone call, you only had to dial those digits. To make a call between two cities from different departments, you had to dial zero, plus area code, plus phone number. As from August 29, 2010, all phone numbers have 8 digits, according to the new National Numbering Plan. Zero prior to area code was eliminated. Durazno Department
Durazno () is a department of Uruguay. Its capital is Durazno. Its name means ''"peach"'' in Spanish, referring to the department's peaches and its status as an agricultural breadbasket. It is located in the centre of the country, and is bounded to the north by the RÃo Negro and the RÃo Yi to the South. To its north are the departments of RÃo Negro and Tacuarembó, to it southeast the departments of Treinta y Tres, to its south the departments of Flores and Florida, while on its east is the department of Cerro Largo. Route 6 (Uruguay)
Route 6 is a national route of Uruguay. In 1981, it was assigned the name JoaquÃn Suárez. It connects Montevideo with the northeast of Rivera Department, at Vichadero, with an extension reaching the border with Brazil. The road is approximately 428 kilometres long till Vichadero. The distance notation along Route 6 uses the same Kilometre Zero reference as Routes 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 and IB, which is the Pillar of Peace of Plaza de Cagancha in the Centro of Montevideo. The only cities apart from Montevideo it connects with are San Ramón in Canelones Department and Sarandà del Yà in Durazno Department. North of Canelones, Route 6 passes mostly through sparsely populated areas and connects with few small towns and villages. Durazno
Durazno is the capital city of the department of Durazno in Uruguay. Durazno is characterized by being the most central city of Uruguay. It has a population of more than 30,000 inhabitants. In the past it was the capital of Uruguay; today the capital is Montevideo. Location The city is located at the intersection of Routes 5 and 41, in the south of the department, close to the borders with the departments of Flores to the southwest and Florida to the southeast. Capilla del Sauce is a small town in the north part of Florida Department of central Uruguay. Geography It is located on Km. 190 of Route 6, about south of Sarandà del Yà of Durazno Department. History The group of houses of this area was declared a village on 26 May 1924, by decree Ley N° 7.718. On 5 July 1956, its status was elevated to "Villa" (town) by decree Ley N° 12.298. It is located in the south of the central part of the country with Durazno Department to its north, the departments of Treinta y Tres and Lavalleja to its east, Canelones Department to its south and the departments of Flores and San José to its west. Club Nacional De Fútbol (Sarandà Del Yi)
Club Nacional de Football (, ''National Football Club'' or simply as Nacional) is a Uruguayan professional sports club based in Montevideo. The club was founded on 14 May 1899 as a result of the merger between ''Uruguay Athletic Club'' and ''Montevideo Fútbol Club''. Although its main focus is football, the club hosts many other activities, including basketball, futsal, tennis, cycling, volleyball, and chess. In domestic tournaments, Nacional has won the Primera División title 49 times, most recently in the 2020 season. Domestic cups honors include Copa de Competencia (8 times) and Copa de Honor (7 times), among others.
