Sarah Jane Brett (born 1974) is an Irish radio presenter, who broadcasts on BBC Radio Ulster breakfast show. Early life Brett was born in Northampton. Her parents moved to Portnoo, a village beside Narin in the west of County Donegal, Ireland, when she was four. She attended St. Columba's Comprehensive School in Glenties, County Donegal. She enrolled on a journalism course in Derry in her mid-20s. Career Journalism Brett did a work placement at the '' Sunday Tribune'' in Dublin. She worked at the '' Belfast Telegraph'' for eight years. Radio Foyle Brett joined BBC Radio Foyle in 2004, later occasionally working on ''Good Morning Ulster'' and '' Talk Back'' at BBC Radio Ulster. Phil Williams (born 2 August 1974) is a British radio news reporter and presenter who worked for 18 years on BBC Radio 5 Live until 2019. A graduate of the BBC trainee reporters scheme, Williams soon joined the corporation's Greater Manchester Radio (GMR) station as a newsreader and presenter. His time at the station included reporting in the immediate aftermath of a Provisional IRA bombing in the city. Three years in a similar role at BBC Radio 1 followed before Williams transferred to Radio 5 Live, initially as an entertainment reporter. Creggan ( ga, An Creagán; meaning ''stony place'') is a large housing estate in Derry, Northern Ireland, on a hill not far from the river Foyle. The estate is very close to the border with County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. History Pre-Troubles Creggan was originally built specifically to provide housing for the growing population of Derry. There was a Irish nationalism, Nationalist majority in the city, but the Unionism in Ireland, Unionist minority of the then Londonderry Corporation wanted to ensure they kept control of the city.
