Sara Ghulam
Sara Ghulam (born May 3, 1989, in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian model. She comes from a multicultural family of Indian, Pakistani, Maltese, and Scottish backgrounds. Ghulam was crowned Miss World Canada 2007 on March 18, 2007, making her the youngest winner of the title. She placed first in the Talent segment for her rendition of Sara McLachlens "Angel", and won Best in Evening Gown. She also placed top 5 in the Interview, Swimsuit and the Peoples Choice Award segments. As the reigning Miss World Canada 2007, she has already made several high-profile appearances, including representing Canada at the 2007 Miss World pageant in Sanya, Hainan Island, China, in November 2007. Miss World Canada
The Miss World Canada contest is a Beauty pageant held annually in different incarnations since 1957 to select Canada's representative to the Miss World contest. In 2017 MTC-W Inc. obtained the exclusive rights to send the Canadian representative to Miss World, chaired since 2016 by former Miss World Canada 1996 Michelle Weswaldi. The annual pageant is held each summer in Toronto, Ontario, but in 2020 the national competition was held on November 7. This year was integrated for the first time the head-to-head challenge competition as part of the Miss World Canada 2020 selection process, where all the 44 candidates faced off in an interview round hosted by the former Mr. World Canada 2012, Frankie Cena , and the first winner ever in Canada is Aiona Santana. Malgosia Majewska
Małgorzata "Malgosia" Majewska (born February 23, 1981, Gdańsk, Poland) is a Polish-Canadian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss World Canada 2006 and Miss World Peel Region 2006. During the Miss World Canada competition, she won the Miss Fitness component which placed her among the finalists. Ms. Majewska, a Pole emigrated to Canada, is a graduate of Temple University (Philadelphia, USA) with an Honors Degree in International Business and Economics. Miss World 2007
Miss World 2007, the 57th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 1 December 2007 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. It was hosted by Fernando Allende and Angela Chow. Zhang Zilin of China won the crown and succeeded Taťána Kuchařová of the Czech Republic. The 106 contestants recorded the official torch relay anthem Light the Passion, Share the Dream for the 2008 Olympic Games as a major co-operation between the Beijing Olympic Committee and Miss World Limited.
