Sanza, Campania
Sanza is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of southern Italy. History It is a small town placed on a hill surrounded by mountains. In ancient times it was protected by walls and there were few gates to access the village. Geography The town is bordered by Buonabitacolo, Casalbuono, Casaletto Spartano, Caselle in Pittari, Monte San Giacomo, Montesano sulla Marcellana, Piaggine, Rofrano, Sassano and Valle dell'Angelo. Sanza counts the hamlets (''frazioni'') of San Donato and Varivertola. In the north-western area of its territory is located the mount Cervati. Feast Day Sanza's biggest day of the year is August 5; a day in which all of its patrons pay homage to their other beloved saint, La Madonna Della Neve (Mary of the Snows.) Sassano is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. Geography The municipality borders with Buonabitacolo, Monte San Giacomo, Padula, Sala Consilina, Sanza and Teggiano. Pruno (Cilento)
Pruno is a forest in the Campania region of southern Italy. It is the largest woodlands of central Cilento region. The hamlets (''frazioni'') with this name are situated in the municipalities of Laurino, Valle dell'Angelo and Piaggine, and are considered a singular village. Pruno represents one of the most unpolluted natural areas of Campania and one of the lesser inhabited territories of Southern Italy. Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park (Italian language, Italian ''Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni'') is an List of National Parks of Italy, Italian national park in the Province of Salerno, in Campania in southern Italy. It includes much of the Cilento, the Vallo di Diano and the Monti Alburni. It was founded in 1991, and was formerly known as the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano. Cilento is an Italian geographical region of Campania in the central and southern part of the Province of Salerno and an important Tourism, tourist area of southern Italy. Cervati
Cervati is an Italian mountain of the Province of Salerno, Campania. Geography The mountain is located in the north-western side of the municipality of Sanza, close to the forest area of Pruno. It is the source of the river Bussento. With 1,898 amsl it is the highest mountain of Cilento, followed by Panormo (part of Alburni range, 1,742 amsl), Faiatella (1,710) and Gelbison (1,705). It is also the second highest mountain of Campania, after the Monte Miletto of Matese (2,050), located partly in Molise. A ''frazione'' (plural: ) is a type of subdivision of a ''comune'' (municipality) in Italy, often a small village or hamlet outside the main town. Most ''frazioni'' were created during the Fascist era (1922–1943) as a way to consolidate territorial subdivisions in the country. In the autonomous region of the Aosta Valley, a ''frazione'' is officially called an ''hameau'' in French. Rofrano ( Cilentan: ) is a town and ''comune'' of the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-west Italy. It is located in the southern Cilento. In 2015 its population was 1,539. History The village was first settled between 3rd and 4th century by some farmers and was originally called ''Ruffium''.
