Abbey Of Santa Lucia
The Abbey of Santa Lucia is an 11th-12th century, Romanesque and Gothic-style abbey in the ''comune'' of Rocca di Cambio, region of Abruzzo, central Italy. History The abbey is mentioned for the first time in an inventory of the diocese of L'Aquila in 1313. However, it was likely built during the 11th-12th century, in a time where numerous monasteries were being built in Abruzzo. It was located in a plateau crossed by the Via Claudia Nova, between the ancient cities of Alba Fucens and Aveia, near the town of Fossa. An earthquake in 1703 destroyed most of the monastic complex and the surrounding borough, and forced much of the inhabitants to move to what is now Rocca di Cambio and the localities of Terranera and Fonteavignone. Santa Lucia (in Spanish: ''Saint Lucy''), is a station on the Santiago Metro in Santiago, Chile. It is underground, between the stations Universidad de Chile and Universidad Católica on the same line. It is located on Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, in the commune of Santiago. The station was opened on 31 March 1977 as part of the extension of the line from La Moneda to Salvador. It has a regular flow of passengers that increases during the Metro's rush hours (mornings and afternoons). The station is in a mix of residential, business and educational zones. In the immediate surroundings of the station, to the northeast is Santa Lucia Hill, and just by the North exit also is the National Library of Chile, a National Monument building located along the North sidewalk of Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins. Santa Lucía (Minas De Matahambre)
Santa Lucía is a Cuban village and ''consejo popular'' ("people's council", i.e. hamlet) of the municipality of Minas de Matahambre, in Pinar del Río Province. In 2011 it had a population of 4,240. History The village was founded and developed from the discovery of a copper field in Minas de Matahambre, in 1912. It was built a road from the deposit to the sea and, one year later, a pier in the new harbor of Santa Lucía. During the 1980s, because of the mining development, the population grew and the satellite village of La Sabana was built east of it. Geography Santa Lucía lies between a marsh, by the Atlantic Coast, and the Sierra de los Órganos mountain range (part of Guaniguanico).
