The Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) is a school district in Orange County, California that serves most of the city of Santa Ana and small portions of the cities of Irvine, Tustin, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. Although its geographic size is only , it is the 12th largest school district in the state of California with approximately 44,102 students. The school district employs approximately 4,500 staff, and its operating budget is $483.1 million. Middle College High School @ Santa Ana College (Commonly referred to as Middle College or MCHS) is located on the campus of Santa Ana College, in Santa Ana, California. The school serves an average of 300 students consisting of 80-90 pupils in each grade level. High school classes average around 20-30 students, including grade levels 9 through 12. The school's mascot is the wizard. The school's colors are Purple and Silver Background MCHS allows high school students to take high school classes and college courses at the same time, also known as Dual Enrollment. It was only in the year 2003 that they had ninth graders participating in the program as part of the transition to the Early College model conceptualized by the Middle College National Consortium. Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA, ), is a 7th–12th grade public charter school located in downtown Santa Ana, California. The school caters to middle and high school students with talents in the performing, visual, literary arts, culinary arts and more. Santa Ana Valley High School, also referred to as Valley High School is located at 1801 S. Greenville St. in Santa Ana, CA 92704. Valley High was built in 1959. Background Santa Ana Valley High School was the second high school constructed for the Santa Ana Unified. The School first opened its door on September 14, 1959. In 2006–07, the school was remodeled for the first time in its history. During this time, all students used the Godinez Fundamental High School campus, which had just been built. The nickname, 'Valley West' was first used by Lewis Bratcher to note the temporary three block westward move. Segerstrom High School
Segerstrom High School (English: Help:IPA/English, [ˈsɛgərstrəm]) is a public high school in Santa Ana, California, and is part of the Santa Ana Unified School District, Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD). The school opened in fall of 2005. Wealthy landowner Henry Segerstrom - for whom Segerstrom High School is named - is a familiar name in Orange County. The land upon which Segerstrom High School is built was purchased from the Henry Segerstrom, Segerstrom family, who once grew crops on these acres.
