Sanna Nuutinen
Sanna Nuutinen (born 8 April 1991) is a Finnish professional golfer playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and LPGA Tour. In 2019, she was runner-up at the Tipsports Czech Ladies Open and in 2020, she finished 5th on the LET Order of Merit. Amateur career Nuutinen represented Finland at the 2007 and 2008 European Girls' Team Championship before capturing the bronze in the 2009 edition. She also played in the 2010 and 2011 European Ladies' Team Championship before securing the bronze in 2013 and the silver in 2014 as team captain. She also represented her country at the 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy and captured the bronze together with Krista Bakker and Noora Tamminen at the 2012 Espirito Santo Trophy. Nuutinen played college golf with the TCU Horned Frogs at Texas Christian University 2010–2014 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Psychology. The Ladies Finnish Open is a professional women's golf tournament held in Finland. It was played as part of the Swedish Golf Tour 1998–2011, the LET Access Series 2012–2019, and after a one year hiatus, added to the Ladies European Tour in 2021. LPGA Qualifying Tournament
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. There can be up to four stages to negotiate, each of them like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players going on to the next stage. Matilda Castren
Matilda Maria Castren (born 18 January 1995) is a Finnish professional golfer playing on the LPGA Tour. In 2021 she won the LPGA Mediheal Championship to become the first player from Finland to win on the LPGA Tour. Career Castren won the 2011 Doral Publix Junior Classic in the U.S. and the 2013 Skandia Junior Open in Sweden, and was runner-up at the 2013 Portuguese Ladies Amateur. Golf At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Qualification
Qualification for Golf at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was determined not by any form of qualifying tournament, but by the rankings maintained by the International Golf Federation. Qualification was based on world ranking (Official World Golf Ranking for men, Women's World Golf Rankings for women) as of 21 June 2021 (men) or 28 June 2021 (women), with a total of 60 players qualifying in each of the men's and women's events. The top 15 players of each gender qualified, with a limit of four golfers per country that could qualify this way. The remaining spots went to the highest-ranked players from countries that did not already have two golfers qualified, with a limit of two per country. The IGF guaranteed that at least one golfer qualified from the host nation and at least one from each continent (Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania). Scandinavian Mixed
The Scandinavian Masters is an annual golf tournament on the European Tour played in Sweden. In 2020 the tournament became co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour and rebranded as the Scandinavian Mixed, in which both male and female golfers compete. History The tournament had its origins in the Volvo Open and the Scandinavian Enterprise Open, which, in 1973, became the first Swedish stop on the European Tour schedule. In 1991, the SEO merged with the PLM Open, with the resultant tournament being called the Scandinavian Masters.
