Sandra Kybartas
Sandra Kybartas is a Canadian production designer and film director. She was a two-time Genie Award winner at the 17th Genie Awards in 1996, winning Best Art Direction/Production Design for her work on the film ''Lilies'', and Best Theatrical Short Film as director of '' The Home for Blind Women''. An alumna of the Canadian Film Centre, Kybartas trained in architecture and design before working in film."Rookie director's casting search case of blind leading the not-blind". The Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) is a Canadian labour union representing more than 5,500 professionals from 48 different occupations in the Canadian film and television industry. Founded in 1962, the DGC represents directors, editors, assistant directors, location managers, production assistants and others. The "DGC" has district councils in the following provinces; British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador and the Atlantic District Council (representing New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island).
