Sanatorium (band)
Sanatorium is a thrash metal band from Skopje, North Macedonia. It consists of Pero Stefanovski (guitar and vocals), Konstantin Kačev (guitar), Goran Stanković (bass guitar) and Goran Atanasov (drums). Biography After its formation in 1987, the band quickly attracted the attention of media nationwide, and obtained all the music awards in Macedonia soon after. Following this, they were invited to take part in the Hard Metal festival, the biggest heavy metal festival in the former Yugoslavia at the time. The band performed in Novi Sad in 1991 and Belgrade, Serbia in 1992 where they received several offers for releasing their debut album. The plan was postponed due to the disintegration of the Yugoslav federation and the Yugoslav wars that followed. In 1992, Sanatorium finally released their first official album, '' Na rabot na razumot'' (''The Edge Of Sanity''), for the National Macedonian Radio Television music production. Skopje
Skopje ( , , ; mk, Скопје ; sq, Shkup) is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia. It is the country's political, cultural, economic, and academic centre. Macedonian Radio Television (MRT; mk, Македонска радио-телевизија (МРТ), Makedonska radio-televizija (MRT)), officially National Radio-Television ( mk, Национална Радиотелевизија, Nacionalna Radiotelevizija) since 2019, is the public broadcasting organisation of North Macedonia. Superhiks
Superhiks ( mk, Суперхикс) is a Macedonian ska-punk and reggae band with occasional swing, Latin and Balkan folk music elements from Skopje, North Macedonia. They gained international prominence after appearing on MTV France, MTV Israel and MTV Adria. They were also the first Macedonian band to reach the top of the charts on MTV Adria. Biography The band was formed by three high school friends: Petar Mladenovski (frontman and bass guitar), Boris Minov (guitar) and Zoran Žežov (drums) in the early 1990s, starting with a mixture of ska and hardcore punk music. After several personal changes, today the six-member band also features a three-piece horn section consisting of Sime Zlatkov (saxophone), Aleksandar Spasovski (trumpet), Branko Ilievski (trombone) and DJ Goce Lalkovski as well as drums and percussion played by Darko Popov-Daro. Soulfly
Soulfly is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1997, and later based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Soulfly is led by former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera, who formed the band after he left the Brazilian group in 1996. To date the band has released twelve studio albums, one tour EP, twenty-three singles, one video album, and twelve music videos. Their debut album, ''Soulfly'', was released on April 21, 1998, while their most recent album, ''Totem'', was released on August 5, 2022 Soulfly incorporates many styles of metal with Brazilian tribal and world music, much like Cavalera's previous band Sepultura. Halford (band)
Halford is an American heavy metal band formed in 1999 by British singer Rob Halford, who is best known as the lead vocalist for heavy metal band Judas Priest. Halford formed the band to return to his heavy metal roots. His two previous projects were a "street metal"-style band called Fight and the industrial metal band 2wo. Recordings Halford's first album, ''Resurrection'', was released in 2000 to critical acclaim. It was subsequently included in Martin Popoff's ''The Top 500 Heavy Metal Albums of All Time''. Slayer
Slayer was an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California. The band was formed in 1981 by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, drummer Dave Lombardo and bassist/vocalist Tom Araya. Slayer's fast and aggressive musical style made them one of the "big four" bands of thrash metal, alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
