Samuil Nevelshtein
Samuil Grigorievich Nevelshtein (russian: Самуи́л Григо́рьевич Невельште́йн; March 22, 1903, Herson, Russian Empire – November 16, 1983, Leningrad, USSR) - Soviet, Russian painter, watercolorist, graphic artist, and art teacher, lived and worked in Leningrad, regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting, most known for his portraits of children and youth. Biography Samuil Grigorievich Nevelshtein was born March 22, 1903, in Herson, Russian Empire (now in Ukraine). In 1923 Samuil Nevelshtein came to Moscow and entered '' VKhuTeMas'', which he had graduated in 1927. In the same year Samuil Nevelshtein arrived in Leningrad and went outside of the competition in the ''VKhuTeIn'' (since 1932 - Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture). Evgenia Petrovna Antipova (russian: Евге́ния Петро́вна Анти́пова; 19 October 1917 – 27 January 2009) was a Russian Soviet painter, watercolorist, graphic artist, and Art teacher, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation), lived and worked in Leningrad – Saint Petersburg and regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad School of Painting. Akademicheskaya Dacha (russian: Академическая Дача) is a dacha (summer house) known as the oldest and major creative base of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. It is located near the town of Vyshny Volochyok in Tver Province, in a picturesque location on the banks of Msta River and Lake Mstino. The State Russian Museum (russian: Государственный Русский музей), formerly the Russian Museum of His Imperial Majesty Alexander III (russian: Русский Музей Императора Александра III), on Arts Square in Saint Petersburg, is the world's largest depository of Russian fine art. It is also one of the largest art museums in the world with total area over 30 hectares. In 2021 it attracted 2,260,231 visitors, ranking second on list of most-visited art museums in the world. Abram Borisovich Grushko (russian: Абра́м Бори́сович Грушко́; 6 June 1918 – 15 March 1980) was a Soviet painter and art teacher that lived and worked in Leningrad, was a member of the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation, and was regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting. He was most famous for his many landscape paintings. Biography Abram Borisovich Grushko was born June 6th 1918, in Moscow, Soviet Russia.
