Samir Mammadov ( az, Samir Məmmədov; born May 15, 1988) is a Boxing, boxer from Azerbaijan, who won the silver medal in the men's flyweight division (– 51 kg) at the 2006 European Championships in Bulgaria and bronze at the 2007 World Championships. Career At the Euros 2006 he beat Vincenzo Picardi and Jérôme Thomas but lost to Georgi Balakshin. At the Junior World Championships 2006 he competed as a bantamweight but lost to Uzbek Orzubek Shayimov. At the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships he dropped to flyweight and beat the Puerto Rican PanAmerican Games Gold medalist McWilliams Arroyo to reach the semifinals, where he was defeated by Rau'shee Warren. Rau'shee Warren (; born February 13, 1987) is an American professional boxer who held the WBA (Undisputed), and IBO bantamweight titles from 2016 to 2017. As an amateur he won a gold medal at the 2007 World Championships, as well as bronze at the 2005 and 2011 World Championships, all in the flyweight division. Amateur career At the 1st AIBA American 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in 2004, at the age of 17, he upset Rayonta Whitfield and Diego Hurtado and international competitors Raúl Castañeda (Mexico), and Miguel Miranda (Venezuela) to qualify as the U.S. boxing team's 106-pound light flyweight representative at the 2004 Athens Olympics. McWilliams Arroyo
McWilliams Arroyo Acevedo (born December 5, 1985) is a Puerto Rican professional boxer who has held the WBC interim flyweight title since February 2021. He previously challenged for the IBF flyweight title in 2014, and the WBC and ''Ring'' magazine flyweight titles in 2016. As an amateur, Arroyo represented Puerto Rico in numerous international events. As of June 2021, Arroyo is ranked as the world's sixth best flyweight by BoxRec and tenth best by The Ring.
