Samet Geyik
Samet Geyik (born January 12, 1993) is a Turkish professional basketball player for Galatasaray Ekmas of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Professional career Geyik began his career with Bornova Belediye in the 2009–10 season. He moved to Tofaş Burşa in 2011. He joined Darüşşafaka Istanbul for the 2015–16 season. He moved to Karşıyaka Izmir in January 2016 on loan. He joined the Turkish EuroLeague club Efes Istanbul for the 2016–17 season. Türk Telekom On 25 June 2020 he signed with Türk Telekom of the Turkish Super League (BSL). Fenerbahçe Beko On 20 June 2022 he signed with Fenerbahçe Beko of the Basketball Super League (BSL). Basketbol Süper Ligi
The Basketball Super League ( tr, Basketbol Süper Ligi; BSL), also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1966) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the second-tier and third-tier divisions. The BSL is administrated by the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) and is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the second-tier TBL and replaced by the top two teams of that division. Since the league's restructuring in 1966, 11 clubs have been crowned champions, with Anadolu Efes winning the title a record 15 times and Fenerbahçe 10 times. 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament – Manila
The 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Manila was one of three 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournaments for Men. The tournament was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines, from 5 to 10 July 2016. The national teams of , , , , , and hosts were drawn into the tournament. Turkey National Basketball Team
The Turkey men's national basketball team ( tr, Türkiye Millî Basketbol Takımı) represents Turkey in international basketball tournaments. They are governed by the Turkish Basketball Federation. Their nickname is the ''12 Dev Adam'', meaning 12 Giant Men. Turkey has competed at every major international basketball tournament. Their greatest achievements are winning two silver medals on home soil at the EuroBasket ( 2001), and FIBA World Cup ( 2010) respectively. Basketball Super League
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop.
