2022–23 EuroLeague
The 2022–23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague was the 23rd season of the modern era of the EuroLeague, and the 13th under the title sponsorship of Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, it was the 66th season of the premier basketball competition for European men's clubs. For a second straight season, CSKA Moscow had their EuroLeague license rescinded for the season following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Real Madrid returned to the final after losing to Anadolu Efes the previous year to claim a record-extending eleventh title against Olympiacos at the Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas, ending a five-year drought since their last triumph in 2018. The 2021–22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague was the 22nd season of the modern era of the EuroLeague, and the 12th under the title sponsorship of the Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 65th season of the premier basketball competition for European men's clubs. The season started on 30 September 2021. The three Russian teams were suspended because of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. As the Russian invasion of Ukraine did not cease, the records of all regular season matches against Russian teams were annulled, and team win-loss records adjusted accordingly, dramatically affecting league standings. Anadolu Efes successfully defended last year's title after defeating Real Madrid in the championship game. Sergio Llull
Sergio Llull Melià (; born 15 November 1987) is a Spanish professional basketball player and the team captain for Real Madrid of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He is a tall point guard and shooting guard. Llull is a two−time All-EuroLeague Team selection, and was the EuroLeague MVP of the 2016–17 season. As a regular member of the senior Spain national team, he has won a FIBA World Cup title, three EuroBasket gold medals, as well as a bronze. He also won two Summer Olympics medals, a silver in 2012, and a bronze in 2016. Professional career Early years Llull began his career playing for the La Salle Maò and CB i Unió Manresana junior clubs as a youth. The 2018 EuroLeague Final Four was the concluding EuroLeague Final Four tournament of the 2017–18 EuroLeague season, the 61st season of Europe's premier club basketball tournament, and the 18th season since it was organised by Euroleague Basketball. Kaunas

Žalgiris Arena
Žalgiris Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New Town of Kaunas, Lithuania. The arena is located on an island of the Nemunas River. It is the largest indoor arena in the Baltics. The arena's maximum possible seating capacity for basketball games is 15,450, and 20,000 spectators for concerts (when the stage is in the middle, and 17,000 when stage is in the side of the arena). The Žalgiris Arena replaced the Kaunas Sports Hall as a major venue in the city. The Žalgiris Arena is used to host basketball games as well as concerts.
