Samaru is a town and ward in Sabon Gari Local Government of Kaduna state, Nigeria. The town is a semi-urban area in which Ahmadu Bello University main campus is located. Samaru is one of the most popular town in Zaria with different ethnic groups living together in peace and harmony. Samaru is home for all tribe. Ahmadu Bello University
Ahmadu Bello University Zaria is a federal government research university in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. ABU was founded on 4 October 1962, as the pioneer university in Northern Nigeria. It was founded and named after the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first premier of Northern Nigeria. The university operates two campuses: Samaru (main) and Kongo in Zaria. There is a pre-degree school in Funtua, it is approximately 85 Kilometres from the main campus of the university. Sabon Gari
A ''Sabon Gari'' (strangers' quarters or literally new town in the Hausa language, plural ''Sabon Garuruwa'') is a section of cities and town in Northern Nigeria South Central Niger and Northern Cameroon whose residents are not indigenous to Hausa lands. History Permanent communities of strangers segregated from the indigenous population had existed in Northern Nigeria and other parts of West Africa long before the arrival of the British around 1900. Although living segregated from the Hausa population, residents of these communities were ultimately subjected to the authority of the local emir.
