Sam Johnson (activist)
Sam Johnson (born 14 February 1989) is a social entrepreneur from Christchurch, New Zealand. Johnson is known as the founder of the Student Volunteer Army which mobilised 11,000 students to assist the cleanup following the Christchurch earthquakes and has continued as a nationwide volunteering movement Johnson is an international thought leader in developing models of community that build resilience through volunteering and local action. Education and career Johnson is from rural Canterbury and was educated at Christ's College and the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Johnson graduated from the University of Canterbury with a BA in Politics and Community Engagement in 2015. Never Again MSD is an American student-led political action committee for gun control that advocates for tighter regulations to prevent gun violence. The organization, also known by the Twitter hashtags #NeverAgain, and #EnoughIsEnough, was formed by a group of twenty students attending Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (MSD) at the time of the deadly shooting in 2018, in which seventeen students and staff members were killed by the alleged gunman, who was a 19-year-old former student of the school and was armed with an AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle. Dalai Lama (, ; ) is a title given by the Tibetan people to the foremost spiritual leader of the Gelug or "Yellow Hat" school of Tibetan Buddhism, the newest and most dominant of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Sir Peter James Blake (1 October 1948 – 5 December 2001) was a New Zealand yachtsman who won the 1989–1990 Whitbread Round the World Race, held the Jules Verne Trophy from 1994 to 1997 by setting the around the world sailing record as co-skipper of ''ENZA New Zealand'', and led New Zealand to successive victories in the America's Cup.
