Sam Horsfield
Sam Horsfield (born 8 October 1996) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Horsfield has lived in the United States since he was five years old. He was selected for the 2015 Walker Cup at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club but withdrew two weeks before the event. It was later reported that he thought he may not have had the correct visa and was worried he would not be allowed to return to the United States after the event. He was runner-up at the 2016 Western Amateur. Horsfield turned professional in May 2017. Professional career Horsfield was the medalist at the 2017 European Tour Qualifying School to earn a place on the European Tour for 2018. He had a useful start to 2018, with a 4th place in the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth and finishing second at the Tshwane Open, two strokes behind George Coetzee. The Belgian Open (name owned by the Royal Belgian Golf Federation) is a men's golf tournament which has been played intermittently from 1910 to 2000. The 2016 Arnold Palmer Cup was held from 24 to 26 June 2016 at Formby Golf Club in Formby, Merseyside, England. Europe won to . Format On Friday, there were five matches of foursomes in the morning, followed by five four-ball matches in the afternoon. Ten singles matches were played on Saturday, and ten more on Sunday. In all, 30 matches were played. Each of the 30 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match was all square after the 18th hole, each side earned half a point toward their team total. The team that accumulated at least points won the competition. Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. The 2023 event will be held from June 10 to 12 at Laurel Valley Golf Club, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. History From its foundation in 1997 until 2017 the event was only contested by men. Yannik Paul (born 5 March 1994) is a German professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He claimed his first victory in his rookie season at the Mallorca Golf Open.
