Sam Beasant
Samuel James Beasant (born 8 April 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Hanwell Town. Career After leaving Cypriot club Olympiakos Nicosia due to contract issues, he joined the Glenn Hoddle Academy, where his father - former England goalkeeper Dave Beasant - was a coach. Following an unsuccessful trial with Birmingham City, he joined non-league Maidenhead United in November 2011. After a successful half-season with the club, he moved onto Woking, but after just three appearances he left for Billericay Town, returning to the Kingfield Stadium ahead of the 2013/14 season. At the end of the season, he moved up to the Football League with Stevenage. Sharing goalkeeping duties with veteran Chris Day during pre-season, he was chosen ahead of Day in their opening League Two fixture at home to Hartlepool United, keeping a clean sheet in a 1–0 victory. The National League South, formerly Conference South, is one of the second divisions of the National League in England, immediately below the top division National League. Along with National League North, it is in the second level of the National League System, and is the sixth tier overall of the English football league system. Chris Day
Christopher Nicholas Day (born 28 July 1975) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Day started his career at Tottenham Hotspur, where he spent five years, making one Premier League appearance for the North London club. He joined Crystal Palace for a fee of £225,000 in July 1996, whom he played regularly for throughout the 1996–97 season. The following season, Day signed for Watford, and he played for the club in the Premier League during the 1999–2000 season. He spent a further season at the club, before joining Lincoln City on a three-month deal in December 2000. He was released by Lincoln, and later joined Queens Park Rangers, spending three and a half years at the club, whilst also having brief spells on loan at Aylesbury United and Preston North End. David John Beasant (; born 20 March 1959) is an English football coach and former football goalkeeper. As a player, he was a goalkeeper, who notably played top-flight football for Wimbledon, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Southampton and Nottingham Forest. He also was on the books at Premier League teams Tottenham Hotspur, Wigan Athletic and Fulham but failed to make an appearance for either.
