Else Rambausek (married name Else Rambausek-Salzer; 2 December 1907 in Purkersdorf, Austria – 14 August 1994 in Vienna, Austria) was an Austrian actress and singer. Career She graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. She appeared at various theaters with Walter Bruno Iltz and also revue theaters, particularly in Viennese operettas and musical comedies. They made their names as singers, particularly as interpreters of Viennese songs. Felix Salzer
Felix Salzer (June 13, 1904 – August 12, 1986) was an Austrian-American music theorist, musicologist and pedagogue. He was one of the principal followers of Heinrich Schenker, and did much to refine and explain Schenkerian analysis after Schenker's death. He was born in Vienna to Max Salzer (a doctor) and Helene Wittgenstein (a daughter of Karl Wittgenstein). He studied musicology with Guido Adler at the University of Vienna, finishing his Ph.D. in 1926 with a dissertation on sonata form in the works of Franz Schubert. At the same time he studied music theory and analysis with Heinrich Schenker and Hans Weisse. In 1939 Salzer emigrated to the United States, and became a citizen in 1945. While in the US he taught at several schools, including the Mannes School of Music where he was the long-time Dean and Queens College of the City University of New York. František Salzer (30 August 1902, Sušice – 23 December 1974, Prague) was a Czechoslovak Theatre Director, Theatre Actor, Film Actor, University Professor and Translator. Biography He studied at Prague Conservatory (1920–1924). In the season of 1924/1925 he started his career at Olomouc Theatre as actor and later on as Theatre Director. Friedrich Salzer (1 June 1827, Heilbronn - 14 May 1876, Heilbronn) was a German landscape painter. He specialized in winter scenes and forest views. Biography His father, Johann Jakob Salzer (1798–1879) came from Dettingen an der Erms to open a paint store, which eventually became a paint factory. He was born to his father's first wife, Elisabeth. After becoming a widower in 1860, his father married again, to the much younger Caroline Haas, who gave birth to his half-brother, , a publisher of evangelical literature. Jerome Howard "Jerry" Saltzer (born October 9, 1939) is an American computer scientist. Career Jerry Saltzer received an ScD in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 1966. His dissertation '''Traffic Control in a Multiplexed System was advised by Fernando Corbató. In 1966, he joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT. One of Saltzer's earliest involvements with computers was with MIT's Compatible Time-Sharing System in the early 1960s. Lisel Salzer (August 26, 1906 – December 6, 2005) was an Austrian-born painter of Jewish heritage who fled the Nazis during World War II and resettled in America, where she continued her art career until her death. Early life Lisel Salzer was born in Austria. Her father was a German-speaking citizen of the Austria-Hungarian Empire and her mother was born in Turkey. Both of her parents and Lisel were Jewish. Otto Salzer (4 April 1874 – 7 January 1944) was a German racing car driver, famous for his contributions to the success of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft in Untertürkheim near Stuttgart, where he became team leader in 1903, previously having worked as an engineer since 1896. He had some good results, and was one of the first German Grand Prix-drivers when his Mercedes team (with Camille Jenatzy and Victor Hémery) joined the 1907 French Grand Prix. Robert Samuel Salzer (29 July 1919 – 30 January 1988) was a Vice Admiral of the United States Navy, who served in World War II, and commanded the United States Naval Forces in Vietnam.
