Salome (Marriages Album)
''Salome'' is the first full-length studio album from American rock band Marriages. The record was released on April 7, 2015, by Sargent House. The album was named after Salome, a mythical character from The Bible. It was recorded in February 2014 at The Hobby Shop, Highland Park, Los Angeles, and the group's first release to feature drummer Andrew Clinco. Fred Sablan (Marilyn Manson, Queen Kwong) also appeared as a guest musician on the record. Upon release, the album received "generally favorable reviews" from music critics. Marriages (band)
Marriages was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2011. The band's final lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist Emma Ruth Rundle, bassist Greg Burns and drummer Andrew Clinco. The band has been inactive since 2015, and Rundle said in 2021 that the band was not planning on releasing new material. Since then, Rundle has put out multiple solo albums while Clinco has continued with his project Drab Majesty. Brian Hugh Warner (born January 5, 1969), known professionally as Marilyn Manson, is an American rock musician. He came to prominence as the lead singer of the band which shares his name, of which he remains the only constant member since its formation in 1989. An album cover (also referred to as album art) is the front packaging art of a commercially released studio album or other audio recordings. Emma Ruth Rundle (born October 10, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and visual artist based in Portland, Oregon. Formerly of the Nocturnes and Marriages, she has released five solo albums and is a member of Red Sparowes. Early life and career Rundle was born in Santa Monica, California and moved “back and forth between the Westside and Eastside” when she was growing up before attending Eagle Rock High School. She was raised in Los Angeles with her younger sister in a household where a lot of folk music was played. As a teenager, Rundle lived with her grandmother until the end of her life. After a massive earthquake in her hometown, her mother took her into the legendary folk music store McCabe's and told her she could pick one instrument to rent for lessons. She initially chose the Celtic harp before switching to guitar, and later went on to work at McCabe's for 13 years. Queen Kwong is an American indie rock band founded in Los Angeles, California. The band was founded by multi-instrumentalist Carré Callaway (or Carré Kwong Callaway), the band's sole singer and songwriter who was discovered at age 17 by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. History Carré Callaway was discovered by Trent Reznor in his New Orleans studio. She first gained notoriety when she opened for Nine Inch Nails on the 2005 With Teeth tour.
