Salma Chowdhury
Salma Chowdhury (born 1 November 1971) is an Awami League politician and former Member of 11th Jatiya Sangsad in the Reserved Seats for Women. Career Chowdhury was elected to parliament from reserved seat in August 2019 by the Awami League representing Rajbari District. In August 2020, she was airlifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital by Bangladesh Air Force from Rajbari District after catching COVID-19. Personal life Chowdhury's father, Md. Rushema Begum
Rushema Begum (1933/1934 – 9 July 2019) was a Bangladeshi teacher and politician who was elected as List of members of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad, Member of 11th Jatiya Sangsad of Reserved Seats for Women. She was a politician of Bangladesh Awami League. Career Begum had started her career as a teacher of Ishan Memorial High School of Faridpur District. Later, she had become the Headmistress of the institution too. Her husband Imamuddin Ahmad was elected as an MP in 1973 Bangladeshi general election, First General Election of Bangladesh from Faridpur-5 (now Faridpur-3). He was connected to the politics of Bangladesh Awami League. Begum was elected as a List of members of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad, Member of 11th Jatiya Sangsad of Reserved Seats for Women on 16 February 2019. Rajbari District
Rajbari ( bn, রাজবাড়ী) is a district in central Bangladesh, located in the Dhaka Division. It is a part of the Greater Faridpur subregion of Bengal due to the historical, linguistic and cultural identities of its inhabitants. History During the reign of Mughal emperor Jahangir, a fief in Padamdi was decreed to the family of an Iraqi Muslim immigrant by the name of Syed Shah Pahlwan in 1607. The zamindari family, known as the Nawabs of Padamdi actively commanded the artillery and served the Mughal army, eventually leading to Emperor Shah Jahan bestowing them the title of Mir. Rajbari in the Bengali language means palace, and pays homage to the rich zamindari families that feudally ruled modern-day Rajbari. Suleman Khan is the secretary of the Ministry of Education and is in charge of the Secondary and Higher Education Division. He is the former chairman of the Land Reform Board. Early life Khan passed his SSC from Mahishasura BK High School and HSC from Dhaka College in 1982 and 1984 respectively.
