Salim Ghazi Saeedi
Salim Ghazi Saeedi () ( fa, سلیم قاضیسعیدی, also Romanized as ''Salim Ghāzi Saeedi'' and ''Salim Ghāzi-Saeedi''; born 1981) is an Iranian composer and guitarist who plays a variety of genres ranging from progressive metal, jazz fusion, avant-garde classical chamber, progressive surf, progressive rock, RIO ( Rock in Opposition), to art rock with a minimalist approach. Biography Saeedi was born in 1981 in Tehran, Iran. He began teaching himself to play guitar in 1999. He has composed three albums with the band Arashk: ''Abrahadabra'' (2006), ''Sovereign'' (2007), and ''Ustuqus-al-Uss'' (2008). He subsequently released the solo albums ''Iconophobic'' (2010), ''Human Encounter'' (2011), and ''namoWoman'' (2012). The albums were entirely self-produced, with Saeedi laying down guitar and keyboards, drum arrangements, and mixing. On namoWoman, he incorporates Persian microtonal music influences. Art Zoyd is a French band formed in 1969, mixing free jazz, progressive rock and avant-garde electronica. Gérard Hourbette was the band's director and composer until his death in May 2018. Another key member of the band was Thierry Zaboitzeff, who left the band in 1997. They both joined the band in 1971 and reformed it completely in 1975. Jaz Coleman
Jeremy "Jaz" Coleman (born 26 February 1960) is an English singer and musician. He came to prominence in the early 1980s as the lead vocalist and keyboardist of post-punk group Killing Joke. Coleman is known for his unique raspy baritone voice and intense stage presence (occasionally appearing wearing face makeup). Bill Janovitz, writer for the website Allmusic, described Coleman's stage presence and voice as "almost always full-on in his approach, with a terrifying growl of a voice that is similar to that of Motörhead's Lemmy". Anne Dudley
Anne Jennifer Dudley (née Beckingham; born 7 May 1956) is an English composer, keyboardist, conductor and pop musician. She was the first BBC Concert Orchestra's Composer in Association in 2001. She has worked in the classical and pop genres, as a film composer, and was one of the core members of the Synth-pop band Art of Noise. In 1998, Dudley won an Oscar for Best Original Musical or Comedy Score for ''The Full Monty''. Richard Anthony Monsour (May 4, 1937 – March 16, 2019), known professionally as Dick Dale, was an American rock guitarist. He was a pioneer of surf music, drawing on Middle Eastern music scale (music), scales and experimenting with reverb effect, reverb. David Kerman (born August 24, 1959), better known as Dave Kerman, is an American experimental rock drummer and composer, best known as the founder and member of the Los Angeles avant-rock group 5uu's. Present is a Belgian progressive rock group formed by guitarist Roger Trigaux in 1979. Biography Trigaux was a founding member of Univers Zero and participated on the first two albums. After '' Heresie'' (1979) he left Univers Zero to concentrate on his own vision and founded Present. The early lineup of Present featured fellow Univers Zero members Daniel Denis and Christian Genet playing drums and bass respectively. Present's first album, "Triskaidekiphobie", was released in 1980, and was followed by “Le Poison Qui Rend Fou" in 1985. The group toured Europe in support of both albums. David Bedford
David Vickerman Bedford (4 August 1937 – 1 October 2011) was an English composer and musician. He wrote and played both popular and classical music. He was the brother of the conductor Steuart Bedford, the grandson of the composer, painter and author Herbert Bedford and the composer Liza Lehmann, and the son of Leslie Bedford, an inventor, and Lesley Duff, a soprano opera singer. From 1969 to 1981, Bedford was Composer in Residence at Queen's College, London. From 1968 to 1980, he taught music in a number of London secondary schools.
