Saleemullah Khan
Saleemullah Khan (1921 – 15 January 2017) was a Pakistani Islamic scholar and former President of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan. His students include Muhammad Rafi Usmani and Muhammad Taqi Usmani. Khan established Jamia Farooqia in Karachi in 1967. Education and career Saleemullah Khan was born in Muzaffarnagar, India. Starting in 1942, he studied at Darul Uloom Deoband, India. He studied there under the guidance of Hussain Ahmad Madni, Izaz Ali Amrohi and many other teachers. He completed his traditional dars-e-nizami degree in 1947. Then he taught at a seminary in India for eight years before he decided to migrate to Pakistan. In Pakistan, he founded Jamiah Farooqia, Karachi in 1967. Khan taught at Tando Allahyar, Sindh, Pakistan for three years and also at Dar-ul-Uloom, Karachi later. Muzaffarnagar is a city under Muzaffarnagar District in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh. Manzoor Mengal
Manzoor Ahmad Mengal (born 1973), is a Pakistani Sunni Muslim scholar and a supporter of Jamiat Ulema-e Islam (F). Education and career Mengal received his early education from a government school. Then in 1973 he joined the madrassa in his village. After completing the Quran, he traveled to Tando Muhammad Khan in 1979 and enrolled in Darul Uloom Muhammadiya Madrasa. He later enrolled at Jamia Farooqia. Then he remained associated with the field of hadith. He served as Imam at Jamia Farooqia for 28 years. During this period, he recited the Quran 28 times during the obligatory prayers. He completed his PhD in 1992 from University of Sindh in a short time (two months) under the supervision of Nizamuddin Shamzai. He memorized Sahih Bukhari in Saudi Arabia in just a month and a half. Muhammad Ahmed Ludhianvi
Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi ( ur, ) is the current Sarparast-e-Aala of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama'at (ASWJ), a proscribed group in Pakistan. Ludhianvi became the head of ASWJ (then knows as Sipah-e Sahaba) upon the death of the previous chief, Ali Sher Haidri, in a 2009 ambush. Ludhianvi is also the Secretary General of Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC). Ludhianvi is on the Pakistani legislature's list of persons with suspected ties to terrorism. However, he is considered as a moderate leader by the government officials compared to the other leaders of ASWJ, while he is also commonly referred as "S''afer-e-Aman''" (ambassador of peace) by his followers. Ludhianvi has stated that he supports sectarian harmony, as long as it does not impede his group's goal of making Pakistan a Sunni Islamic state and declaring Shia Muslims a minority, like the Ahmadiyya in Pakistan. Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan (Urdu: ) is the largest federation of Islamic seminaries in Pakistan, founded in 1959. More than 10,000 seminaries and 23,000 madaris across Pakistan are affiliated with the federation. It controls all the seminaries which are run by Deobandi School of thought. Mufti Taqi Usmani has been appointed as the new president on 19 September 2021 after the death of the former president, Abdur Razzaq Iskander. Darul Uloom Karachi ( ur, دارالعلوم کراچی) is a Madrasa in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by Muhammad Shafi Deobandi in June 1951 at Nanak Wara and later on it transferred to Korangi, Karachi, on March 17, 1957. It continues the tradition of the Darul uloom system initiated by Darul Uloom Deoband. The institution has adopted a balanced approach between religious and worldly matters. Dars-i Nizami is a study curriculum or system used in many Islamic institutions (madrassas) and Dar Ul Ulooms, which originated in the Indian subcontinent in the 18th century and can now also be found in parts of South Africa, Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and the UK.
