Salama Bint Butti
Sheikha Salama bint Butti Al Qubaisi ( ar, ٱلشَّيْخَۃ سَلَامَة بِنْت بُطِّي القبيسي, Ash-Shaykhah Salāmah bint Buṭṭī) was the wife of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi from 1922, and the mother of Sheikhs Shakhbut (who ruled Abu Dhabi from 1928 to 1966) and Zayed (who ruled Abu Dhabi from 1966 to 2004, and was the President of the United Arab Emirates from 1971 to 2004). Other children include Hazza bin Sultan, who was the Ruler's Representative of the Western Region of the Emirate, and died in 1958. Life and family Salamah is believed to be from the family of Al Qubaisi, a prominent Bedouin tribe from Liwa, who also settled Khor Al Udaid. Salamah herself was from Mezairaa in Liwa. Liwa Oasis
The Liwa Oasis ( ar, وَاحَـة لِـيْـوَا, Wāḥḥat Līwā) is a large oasis area in the Western Region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. Geography Liwa Oasis is about south of the Persian Gulf coast and southwest of the city of Abu Dhabi, on the northern edge of Rub' al Khali desert. It is centered around and stretches about east-west, along an arch curved to the north. It consists of some 50 villages. Khawr al Udayd, ( ar, خور العديد; also spelled Khor al Adaid and Khor al-‘Udeid) is a settlement and inlet of the Persian Gulf located in Al Wakrah Municipality in southeast Qatar, on the border with Saudi Arabia.
