Sail Away (TV Series)
''Sail Away'' is an American reality television series which follows ten teenagers sailing aboard the ''Simpatico'' off the Bahamas with assistance from their leader Nicolas Popov and Dragan Popov. There are no plans for a second series. The series was produced by Discovery Kids. The first series was filmed in 2000, aired in early 2001 and consisted of 13 episodes. Overview The series follows ten (13-15 year olds) teenagers as they sail a ship called the ''Simpatico'' just off the Bahamas. They are assisted by professional sailors Nicolas Popov and Dragan Popov. They have to learn to live in confined spaces, learn new skills and accept the differences between people. Each day they participate in challenges such as diving with sharks, exploring sunken wrecks and swimming with wild dolphins. Discovery Family
Discovery Family is an American cable television channel co-owned by Warner Bros. Discovery and Hasbro Entertainment. The channel was originally launched by Discovery Communications on October 7, 1996 as Discovery Kids, a spin-off of Discovery Channel which primarily featured science and nature-themed programming aimed towards a youth audience. Discovery Kids (stylized as DK) is a Latin American pay television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery and headquartered in Miami, Florida, which started as a programming block on the Latin American version of Discovery Channel. It launched on 1 November 1996, with programming aimed for older children and preschoolers. It was owned by Discovery Networks Latin America and remains airing alongside Discovery Kids India. The entire programming is in either Spanish or Portuguese, depending on the region. The channel is divided into six live feeds: Pan-regional, Colombia, Southern (plus a Chilean subfeed), Mexico and Brazil, each with their own HD simulcast feeds. ''Serious'' is an observational documentary series made by the BBC and broadcast as part of their children's programming. It encompasses ''Serious Jungle'' (2002), ''Serious Desert'' (2003), ''Serious Arctic'' (2005), ''Serious Amazon'' (2006), ''Serious Andes'' (2007), ''Serious Ocean'' (2008) and ''Serious Explorers'' (2011).
