Sagua de Tánamo () is a municipality and town in the Holguín Province of Cuba. Overview The Sierra Cristal National Park ( es, Parque Nacional Sierra Cristal) is partly located in the Sagua de Tánamo municipality and partly in neighboring Mayarí. Guantánamo Province
Guantánamo is the easternmost province of Cuba. Its capital is also called Guantánamo. Other towns include Baracoa. The province has the only land border of the U.S. Navy base at Guantánamo Bay. Overview Guantánamo's architecture and culture is unlike the rest of Cuba. The province is only away from Haiti at its closest point, across the Windward Passage (close enough to see lights on Haiti on a clear night). Mayarí is a municipality and town in the Holguín Province of Cuba. History The origins of the city date back to 1757 in Spanish Cuba, when the first farms were established here by immigrant colonists. On 19 January 1879 the city became the seat of Mayarí Municipality. Santiago de Cuba Province is the second most populated province in the island of Cuba. The largest city Santiago de Cuba is the main administrative center. Segundo Frente (Spanish for "Second Front") is a municipality in the Santiago de Cuba Province of Cuba. Located in the northern part of the province, it is centered on the town, and municipal seat, of Mayarí Arriba. Yateras is a municipality in the Guantánamo Province of Cuba. The municipal seat is located in the town of Palenque, in the northern part of the province.
