Sagarmatha Highway
Sagarmatha Highway is a National Highway of Nepal that connects Khotang District to Saptari District via Udayapur District. At Kadmaha the Sagarmatha Highway joins Mahendra Highway which also called East–West National Highway which runs across the Terai geographical regions of Nepal. The construction of the road began 23 years ago to link Diktel, the headquarters of Khotang with Gaighat of Udayapur. Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi is a Municipality in Khotang District of Province No. 1 of Nepal. The municipality was established in May 2014 merging some existing VDCs: Bamrang, Laphyang and Kahalle as Diktel Municipality. Diktel was renamed to Rupakot Majhuwagadhi on 10 March 2017 after merging some more VDCs. The municipality is divided into 15 wards. It is on 700 m to 2250 m of elevation from sea level. Triyuga ( ne, त्रियुगा) is one of eight municipalities of Udayapur district of the Province No. 1 of Nepal. Gaighat is the headquarter of the municipality. According to the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 55,291. According to the 2011 Nepal census, Triyuga had 87,557 inhabitants. Mahendra Highway
Mahendra Highway (), also called East-West Highway () runs across the Terai geographical region of Nepal, from Mechinagar in the east to Bhim Datta in the west, cutting across the entire width of the country. It is the longest highway in Nepal and was constructed by cooperation of various countries. Overview The highway is mostly a single lane in each direction. It is a major infrastructure element because east–west travel was previously limited to the Hulaki Highway built during the Rana regime, expensive and limited air travel, or Nepalese trains and buses. Terai
The Terai or Tarai is a lowland region in northern India and southern Nepal that lies south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas, the Sivalik Hills, and north of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. This lowland belt is characterised by tall grasslands, scrub savannah, Shorea robusta, sal forests and clay rich swamps. In North India, the Terai spreads from the Yamuna River eastward across Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal. Manmohan Adhikari
Man Mohan Adhikari (Magi) ( ne, मन मोहन अधिकारी 9 June 1920 – 26 April 1999) was the 31st Prime Minister of Nepal from 1994 to 1995, representing the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist). He is the first communist Prime Minister in Nepal and one of the first communist politician in the world to be democratically elected as a head of government.
