Saen Sor Ploenchit
Saen Sor Ploenchit ( th, แสน ส.เพลินจิต, born May 18, 1971) is a Thai former professional boxer who competed from 1990 to 2003. He held the WBA flyweight title from 1994 to 1996. Early life Sor Ploenchit was born as Somchai Chertchai (สมชาย เชิดฉาย; nickname: Neng; เหน่ง) in Amphoe Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani province. Because of his poverty, he became a boxer since childhood, beginning from Muay Thai in the names "Superneng Loh-ngoen" (ซุปเปอร์เหน่ง โล่ห์เงิน) and "Doennna Loh-ngoen" (เดินหน้า โล่ห์เงิน). Pone Kingpetch ( th, โผน กิ่งเพชร, , ), born Mana Seedokbuab ( th, มานะ สีดอกบวบ, , ; February 12, 1935 – March 31, 1982), was a Thai professional boxer and three time world flyweight champion. Life and career He became Thailand's first world boxing champion on April 16, 1960 when he defeated Pascual Pérez of Argentina at Lumphini Boxing Stadium in Bangkok for the world flyweight championship. In his second title defense he lost the title to Fighting Harada of Japan on October 10, 1962 via 11th round knockout. Pone Kingpetch regained the world championship after outpointing Harada in a rematch on January 12, 1963. However it again proved to be short reign as Hiroyuki Ebihara knocked Pone out in the first round to become the new Flyweight champion of the world. Kim Yong-kang
Yong-Kang Kim (, born January 3, 1965) is a South Korean former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 1995. He is a two-time flyweight champion, having held the WBC and ''The Ring'' titles from 1988 to 1989 and the WBA title from 1991 to 1992. Professional career Kim turned pro in 1985 and captured the WBC and ''The Ring'' flyweight titles with a decision win over Sot Chitalada in 1988. He lost his belts in his third defense in a rematch with Chitalada. In 1991 he won the WBA flyweight title with a decision win over Elvis Álvarez. He defended the belt twice before losing it to Aquiles Guzman in 1992. In 1994 Kim returned for his biggest fight, for he WBA flyweight title against Saen Sor Ploenchit. Joichiro Tatsuyoshi
is a former World Boxing Council (WBC) world bantamweight champion from Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan. His record is 20–7–1 (14 KOs). He is popular for his fight style and unique personality, and has appeared in several television variety shows. He is named after Joe Yabuki, the main character of the boxing anime, ''Ashita no Joe'' (''Tomorrow's Joe''). Loy Kratong
Loy Krathong ( th, ลอยกระทง, , ) is a Thai festival celebrated annually throughout Thailand and in nearby countries with significant South Western Tai cultures (Laos, Shan, Mon, Tanintharyi, Kelantan, Kedah, and Xishuangbanna). The name could be translated as "to float ritual vessel or lamp," and comes from the tradition of making ''krathong'' or buoyant, decorated baskets, which are then floated on a river. Many Thais use the krathong to thank the Goddess of Water, Phra Mae Khongkha ( th, พระแม่คงคา) or to worship the Buddha's hair pagoda in heaven. This festival traces its origin back to India.
