Sacramento Gold (NPSL)
Sacramento Gold is an American soccer team based in Sacramento, California, United States. Founded in 2009, the team plays in National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national amateur league at the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the West Region, Golden Gate Conference. The team plays its home games in the stadium at Capital Christian School, where they have played since 2017. Previously, they played in the stadium at River City High School. The team's colors are burgundy, navy blue, and white. History The Gold began play in the NPSL during the 2010 season, finishing first within the Northwest Division in regular season before eventually winning the playoff title. After beating FC Sonic Lehigh Valley in the semifinal, the team went on to defeat Chattanooga FC, 3–1, in the National Championship. 2013 NPSL Season
The 2013 National Premier Soccer League season was the 101st season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States, and the 11th season of the NPSL. The season began in May 2013. FC Sonic Lehigh Valley were the defending champions, having won their first NPSL title the previous season. 2020 NPSL Season
The 2020 National Premier Soccer League season was part of the 108th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 18th season of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Miami FC, the defending league champions, left in the off-season and joined the National Independent Soccer Association and later the USL Championship. On March 26, the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes from 2019 Multiple changes were made to the league's conferences ahead of the season. The Northeast Region was renamed to the "East Region." 2018 NPSL Season
The 2018 National Premier Soccer League season was part of the 106th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 16th season of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Elm City Express was the defending champion. The 2018 NPSL champion qualifies to play for the 2019 Hank Steinbrecher Cup organized by the United States Adult Soccer Association. The NPSL has elected to use results of the 2018 league season to determine which NPSL clubs qualify for the 2019 U.S. Open Cup.
