Sabo Romo
Salvador Sabo Romo is a bass and guitar player, composer and producer. He was born in Mexico City. Interested in music since childhood, he played drums, wrote songs and sang on his first band. At eighteen he discovered the bass, and formed “Manhattan”, a light jazz band, and then “Ruido Blanco” with journalist and musician Óscar Sárquiz, who introduced Sabo to Guillermo Briseño, (musician, poet) and Ricardo Ochoa (musician and producer) starting the recording and production of many records with many tours in the mid-1980s. Romo was a founding member of Caifanes in 1987, recording three albums with BMG and touring all over the world with them; he left the band in 1993 and performed his last live concert at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. Caifanes
Caifanes is a rock band from Mexico City. Formed in 1987, the group achieved international fame during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The original line-up was Saúl Hernández (vocals and guitar), Sabo Romo (bass guitar), (drums) and Diego Herrera (keyboards and saxophone). Alejandro Marcovich later joined as lead guitar player. Caifanes' style can be described as a hybrid of British new wave, progressive rock and Latin percussion underscored by deep, somber and Latin American-Mexican-Spanish-influenced lyrics and the vocal style of Saúl Hernández. Members of Caifanes have cited The Cure, The Beatles and King Crimson as major influences. Adrian Belew having produced their third studio album, ''El Silencio'', as well as making a guest appearance on it. Jaguares (band)
Jaguares is a Mexican alternative rock band formed by former Caifanes lead singer Saúl Hernández, ex-Caifan Alfonso André (drums), and two long-time friends Federico Fong (bass guitar) and José Manuel Aguilera (lead guitar). History Jaguares got their name from one of vocalist Saúl Hernández's dreams, in which he was singing in a jaguar's mouth. Soon after the release of their hit debut album, ''El Equilibrio de los Jaguares'', Hernández took a break after suffering papiloma virus cancer. As a result of a year without activity, Aguilera dropped out of the band and Fong took a break from the band, as well both continue with his band La Barranca. Aguilera was replaced by César López Garcia, most famously known as "El Vampiro", who had previously been invited to play in Caifanes' beginnings in the late 1980s. Adrian Belew
Robert Steven "Adrian" Belew (born December 23, 1949) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. A multi-instrumentalist primarily known as a guitarist and singer, he is noted for his unusual and impressionistic approach to his guitar tones (which, rather than relying on standard instrumental tones, often resemble sound effects or noises made by animals and machines). Aleks Syntek
Raúl Alejandro Escajadillo Peña (born 29 September 1969), known by his stage name, Aleks Syntek, is a Mexican singer and songwriter. He has earned nine nominations for the Latin Grammy Awards, a Grammy nomination, five nominations for the MTV Latin Awards, and is the winner of three Latin ''Billboard'' awards. He has also received an Ariel award from the Cinametografia Mexican Academy for Best Film Music. Palacio De Los Deportes
() is an indoor arena located in Mexico City, Mexico. It is within the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City complex, near the Mexico City International Airport and in front of the Foro Sol, in which sports and artistic events are also celebrated. It is operated by Grupo CIE. The palace is named after Mexican military official Juan Escutia, although it is rarely referred to in its full name.
