Saber Kazemi
Saber Kazemi ( fa, صابر کاظمی, born December 24, 1998, in Gorgan) is an Iranian volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for the Iranian national team and Iranian club Shahrdari Urmia. Kazemi was invited to Iran senior national team by Igor Kolaković in 2018 and made his debut match against Italy in the 2018 Nations League. Iran Men's National Volleyball Team
The Iran Men's National Volleyball Team is the official national men's volleyball team of Iran. It is governed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (I.R.I.V.F.) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. As of 11 September 2022, Team Melli is considered as the second team in Asia, as it ranks 10th in the FIVB World Rankings. The national team won the Asian Volleyball Championship four times: in 2011 Tehran, 2013 Dubai, 2019 Tehran and 2021 Chiba & Funabashi In its first appearance in the competition since joining the 2013 World League, Iran has been a dominant force in Group 1 of the competition, posing a challenge to any opponent. Thomas Edgar (born 21 June 1989) is an Australian volleyball player. He competed for Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Career He began his career in Queensland. In the 2011–2012 season he played for the Italian Serie A2 club, Volley Corigliano. In the following season, Edgar transferred to Serie A1 club Sir Safety Perugia. In 2013 he moved to South Korea to play for LIG Insurance Greaters. In 2015 he played in the Chinese Volleyball League for Beijing. Thomas has been the captain of the team since 2015. On 12 August 2022, he signed a one-year contract with Galatasaray, one of the Turkish Men's Volleyball League teams. 2020–21 Iranian Volleyball Super League
The Iranian Volleyball Super League 2020–21 was the 34th season of the Iranian Volleyball Super League, the highest professional volleyball league in Iran. The season started on 9 September 2020 and ended on 16 March 2021. IRIVF announced on 2 September 2020 that Shahrdari Qazvin were excluded from the league due to non-fulfillment of their obligations. Shahrvand Arak replaced them. But, Shahrdari Qazvin took the necessary measures for its financial obligations after being eliminated from the league and re-applied to participate in the league. On 6 September 2020, since all participating teams agreed, it was announced that Shahrdari Qazvin would participate in the league. Due to COVID-19 pandemic in Iran, the season was suspended on 10 October 2020 and resumed on 8 November 2020. Iranian Volleyball Super League
The Iranian Volleyball Super League (IVSL) is a professional volleyball league in Iran at the top of the Iranian volleyball league system. It was founded in 1975 as the Pasargad Cup, but after the Iranian Revolution it was renamed to the first Division. In 1997 the league system was revamped and the Iranian Super League was established. Paykan Tehran has won the most titles in the new Super League with 12 titles. History The first season of a national Iranian volleyball league was held in 1975 with 12 teams competing. In 1976 Esteghlal became the champions for the first time, and they repeated this feat in the following season. In 1979 due to the Iranian Revolution the league was canceled. 2021 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2021 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the eleventh edition of the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, an annual international volleyball club tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA). The tournament was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 8 to 15 October 2021. The champions qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship. The Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, previously the AVC Cup Men's Club Tournament (between 1999–2002), is an annual continental club volleyball competition organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continental governing body. The competition was first contested in 1999 in China. It was not held in 2003 and 2020 due to 2002–2004 SARS outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic respectively. The winner of the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship qualifies for the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship.
