Sabbaruddin Chik
Tan Sri Sabbaruddin bin Chik ( ms, صبار الدين بن چئ, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset; 13 December 1941 – 4 December 2021) was a Malaysian politician who served as Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism from 1987 to 1996. Education Chik graduated with a BA (Hons) from the University of Malaya in 1966 and subsequently obtained his master's degree in Public Administration from the Institute of Social Studies, in the Netherlands in 1974. Career Public service Chik served as the Assistant State Secretary of Negeri Sembilan in 1966. A year later, he was appointed the Assistant Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Then, he was promoted as Second Secretary at the Malaysian Embassy in Saigon, Vietnam. He was then appointed the Charge d'affaires of the Embassy (1969–1971). The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and several Provinces of Indonesia, provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. Negeri Sembilan (, Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Nogoghi Sombilan'', ''Nismilan'') is a state in Malaysia which lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Jawi (; ace, Jawoë; Kelantan-Pattani: ''Yawi''; ) is a writing system used for writing several languages of Southeast Asia, such as Acehnese, Banjarese, Kerinci, Maguindanaon, Malay, Minangkabau, Tausūg, and Ternate. Jawi is based on the Arabic script, consisting of all of the original 31 Arabic letters, and six additional letters constructed to fit the phonemes native to Malay, and an additional phoneme used in foreign loanwords, but not found in Classical Arabic, which are ''ca'' ( ), ''nga'' ( ), ''pa'' ( ), ''ga'' ( ), ''va'' ( ), and ''nya'' ( ). The National Front ( ms, Barisan Nasional; abbrev: BN) is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1973 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties.
