''Saatchya Aat Gharat'' is a 2004 Indian Marathi-language film released on 31 May 2004. The film is directed by Sanjay Surkar and produced by Smita Talwalkar. It is partly based upon a 2002 incident in the University of Pune campus when a student was raped by someone posing as a policeman. This was the debut movie for Kartika Rane in Marathi film Industry. Sanjay Surkar
Sanjay Surkar (19 August 1959 27 September 2012) was a Marathi film director. He won three National Film Awards for the films ''Rao Saheb'' (1996), ''Tu Tithe Mee'' (1998) and ''Gharabaher'' (1999) in Best Feature Film in Marathi category. Along with films, Surkar had also worked in television and theatre. Early life Surkar was born on 19 August 1959 at Deoli in Wardha district of Maharashtra state. Marathi cinema is an Indian film industry of Marathi-language motion pictures. It is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Based in old Mumbai, it is the oldest film industry of Indian cinema. Nilu Phule
Nilu Phule (Marathi pronunciation: iɭuː pʰuleː 4 April 1930 - 13 July 2009) was an Indian actor known for his roles in Marathi movies and Marathi theatre. Nilu Phule acted in around 250 Marathi and Hindi movies during his film career. He was most prominently seen playing the roles of notorious villains in the movies. Phule was also a social worker, and was associated with Rashtra Seva Dal. Early life Phule was born in 1930 in Pune as Nilkanth Krushnaji Phule in a Mali caste.
