Bedford S Series
The Bedford Vehicles, Bedford S is a heavy lorry produced in Great Britain between 1950 and 1959. Description The S was launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show in 1950. Known as the "Big Bedford", it was the largest Bedford lorry available at the time, with a gross vehicle weight of . Propulsion At introduction, the lorry was fitted with a 6-cylinder Bedford petrol engine that produced at 3200 rpm. Drive was through a four-speed Manual transmission, manual gearbox featuring synchromesh on the top three gears, and final drive in the rear axle was by Spiral bevel gear, hypoid gears. The Perkins Engines, Perkins R6 diesel engine was made an option in 1953, soon joined by the Leyland Motors, Leyland O.350, and Bedford's own diesel in 1957. Sony Vaio S Series
The Vaio S series was a line of notebook computers from Sony introduced in summer 2004. They have been touted as business laptops, and their designs have focused on being thin and light. They also have features friendly to businesspeople, such as TPM chips, matte (anti-glare) displays, RAID SSDs, and extended sheet batteries, as well as continuing to include RJ-45 and VGA (D-Sub) connections. 2010 Sony introduced the VAIO S series in January 2010 to replace the SR series. The aspect ratio of the display was changed to 16:9 (1600x900) from the older 16:10 (1280x800). The CPU was upgraded from Intel's Core2 Duo to Intel's First-Generation Core i3/i5, and the system RAM was updated to DDR3. Introduced in the late 1980s, the S Series is notable for being a streamlined mahogany-bodied guitar with a maple neck that plays comfortably while retaining the resonance of mahogany.
