Shenyang (, ; ; Mandarin pronunciation: ), formerly known as Fengtian () or by its Manchu language, Manchu name Mukden, is a major China, Chinese sub-provincial city and the List of capitals in China#Province capitals, provincial capital of Liaoning province. Located in central-north Liaoning, it is the province's most populous city, with a total population of 9,070,093 inhabitants as of the 2020 census. Among the resident population of the city, the male population is 4,521,021, accounting for 49.85%; the female population is 4,549,072, accounting for 50.15%. The sex ratio of the total population (with women as 100, the ratio of men to women) dropped from 102.10 in the sixth national census in 2010 to 99.38. Liaoning Radio and Television or LRTV is located in Shenyang, Liaoning province, China. The television was launched on October 1, 1959. And it is one of the earliest launched televisions in People's Republic of China. LRTV now has 6 radio channels and 8 TV channels for the public and 5 Pay TV channels for all the viewers in China.
