SWIDT
SWIDT ( ); See What I Did There?) are a hip-hop collective from Onehunga, New Zealand. SmokeyGotBeatz debut project ''SWIDT vs Everybody'' was listed as No.16 in The New Zealand Herald's ''20 Best Albums of 2016.'' They released their official debut album ''STONEYHUNGA,'' dedicated to their home suburb of Onehunga, in July 2017. Members of the collective include SPYCC, SMOKE, INF, Boomer Tha God and JAMAL. SWIDT were nominated for both the Critics Choice Award, and Best Urban/Hip-Hop Album at the 2016 New Zealand Music Awards. At the Awards, R&B singer Aaradhna Jayantilal Patel refused her award for Best Urban/Hip-Hop Album, claiming that the two disparate categories had been placed together for racial reasons. Kelz Garage
"Kelz Garage" is a song by New Zealand hip-hop group SWIDT. Originally an instrumental interlude on their 2017 album ''Stoneyhunga'', the song was re-recorded with singer Lomez Brown and released as a single from their EP ''312 Day''. The song was a commercial success, receiving a gold certification and was one of the top top 20 songs by New Zealand artists for 2022. Background and composition "Kelz Garage" began as an instrumental on SWIDT's debut studio album ''Stoneyhunga'' (2017). Kelz is a friend of the band members, who is known for hosting drinks in his garage. Roundhead Studios is an Auckland-based sound recording studio owned by singer-songwriter Neil Finn. It was officially opened in June 2007, however by the time of its opening, several international artists had already used it whilst the studio was either in construction or receiving finishing touches. Onehunga is a suburb of Auckland in New Zealand and the location of the Port of Onehunga, the city's small port on the Manukau Harbour. Aaradhna Jayantilal Patel (born 20 December 1983), better known by her stage name Aaradhna, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, musical recording artist. The Official New Zealand Music Chart ( mi, Te Papa Tātai Waiata Matua o Aotearoa) is the weekly New Zealand top 40 singles and albums charts, issued weekly by Recorded Music NZ (formerly Recording Industry Association of New Zealand). Chaine St. Aubin Downer Jr. (born July 6, 1993), better known by his stage name CJ Fly, is an American rapper and producer from Brooklyn, New York City. He is a founding member and the oldest member of the hip-hop collective group Pro Era.
