Stade Sportif Sfaxien ( ar, الملعب الرياضي الصفاقسي) (SSS, sometimes called the "3S") is a Tunisian football club from the city of Sfax. It get its name from its sponsor: The Société industrielle d'acide phosphorique et d'engrais (SIAPE). History The club played in the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 for 7 seasons and then was relegated to the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 2. The last years they play in the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 3. At the season 2008–2009 the SSS was on the last position of the final table of the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 3 and was relegated in to the Honor division, LA4. Sfax
Sfax (; ar, صفاقس, Ṣafāqis ) is a city in Tunisia, located southeast of Tunis. The city, founded in AD849 on the ruins of Berber Taparura, is the capital of the Sfax Governorate (about 955,421 inhabitants in 2014), and a Mediterranean port. Sfax has a population of 330,440 (census 2014). The main industries are phosphate, olive and nut processing, fishing (largest fishing port in Tunisia) and international trade. The Ligue Professionelle 2 is the second football level in Tunisia, under Ligue Professionelle 1 which is the top level of Tunisian football. Tunisian President Cup
The Tunisian Cup , officially named the President's Cup, is the official competition of the Cup in Tunisian football and is considered the second most important local title after the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1. The first cup competition was held in the 1922-1923 season during the French occupation. The first final was played after independence in the season of 1955 - 1956 and won by Stade Tunisien. The tournament has been held annually since then except for the 1978 season due to the participation of the national team in the World Cup Argentina, and did not complete in 2002 due to the participation of the national team in the World Cup Japan and South Korea. The final match has been held since 2001 at the Olympic Stadium of Rades. A new Tunisian Cup Trophy is adopted whenever a team triumphs the same Trophy three times. Hammam-Lif ( ar, حمام الأنف, pronounced hammam linf) is a coastal town about 20 km south-east of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. It has been known since antiquity for its thermal springs originating in Mount Bou Kornine. History Naro, which means fire, was Hammam-Lif's Punic name. In 1883, the French captain Ernest De Prudhomme discovered in his Hammam-lif residence the first archeological ruins of an ancient synagogue that once stood in Hammam-Lif in 3rd-5th century AD. Hammam-Lif was once the home of Italian, Greek and Jewish communities, especially before the end of the French colonial period. Hammam-Lif's most interesting site is probably Dar El Bey, which was the residence of Ali II Bey, the 4th bey of Tunis. Club Africain ( ar, النادي الإفريقي) is a Tunisian football club based in Tunis that competes in the Tunisian Championship.
