SOT is an acronym for the phrase sound on tape. It refers to any audio recorded on analog or digital video formats. It is used in scriptwriting for television productions and filmmaking to indicate the portions of the production that will use room tone or other audio from the time of recording, as opposed to audio recorded later (studio voice-over, foley, etc.). Sodankylä Airfield
Sodankylä Airfield ( fi, Sodankylän lentokenttä; ) is an airfield in Sodankylä, Lapland, Finland, located south-east of Sodankylä municipal centre. The airfield was originally built in the early 1940s, initially as a stopover airfield for the flights to Petsamo. A gravel runway was built in 1971. The asphalt pavement and terminal building were completed in 1989, and there were scheduled flights in 1989–1996. There were some plans to build a new, longer runway to enable direct charter flights in the early 2000s. Sodankylä Airport was turned to an uncontrolled airfield on July 1, 2010. Today the airfield serves as a general aviation airfield. Stoke-on-Trent railway station is a mainline railway station serving the city of Stoke-on-Trent, on the Stafford to Manchester branch of the West Coast Main Line. It also provides an interchange between local services running through Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. History The Victorian station buildings were opened on 9 October 1848. Special Occupational Taxpayers are a group of Federal Firearm Licensees in the United States who manufacture, import and/or transfer NFA weapons. The National Firearms Act Special Occupational Taxpayer class is part of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. The Special Occupational Tax is due on or before July 1 of each year. The tax rate for every importer and manufacturer is $1,000 per year or part of a year. The tax rate for each dealer is $500 per year or part of a year. Importers and manufacturers engaged in business with less than $500,000 in gross receipts in the most recent taxable year are given relief in the form of a $500 reduction in SOT tax payment making the total SOT tax $500. In addition to the SOT tax, all importers and manufacturers must pay an annual Excise tax to the Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for firearms imported or manufactured for re-sale.
