SOS Design Festival
The SOS Design Festival is an annual graphics and product design festival held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established by the Academy of Fine Arts in cooperation with the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Council of Design. It is primarily an educational platform, while also being as an exhibitory event that was originally conceived by the students of the Department of Graphic and Product design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. It is the largest student product design festival in the Balkans and consists of lectures, workshops, exhibitions, book promotions and PechaKucha Nights, providing an opportunity for students of design and related fields from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other former Yugoslav countries to acquaint themselves with knowledge, new methods, trends and works of leading modern designers. Peter Saville (graphic Designer)
Peter Andrew Saville (born 9 October 1955) is an English art director and graphic designer. He came to prominence for the many record sleeves he designed for Factory Records, which he co-founded in 1978 alongside Tony Wilson and Alan Erasmus. Early life Peter Saville was born in Manchester, Lancashire, and attended St Ambrose College. He studied graphic design at Manchester Polytechnic from 1975 to 1978. Saville became involved in the music scene after meeting Tony Wilson, the journalist and broadcaster. The meeting resulted in Wilson commissioning the first Factory poster ( FAC 1). Saville was a partner in Factory Records along with Wilson, Martin Hannett, Rob Gretton and Alan Erasmus. Mirko Ilić (born 1 January 1956) is a Bosnian-born comics artist and graphic designer based in New York City. Yugoslavian period Ilić was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina. His life, schooling and most of his Yugoslav-period-career was located at Zagreb, Croatia. Roberto Baldazzini (born August 18, 1958) is an Italian illustrator and comics artist who specializes in writing and illustrating black and white and full-color erotic comic books.
