Sociedade Esportiva e Recreativa Caxias do Sul, commonly known as Caxias, is a Brazilian professional association football club based in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. The team plays in Série D, the fourth tier of the Brazilian football league system, as well as in the Gauchão Série A, the top tier of the Rio Grande do Sul state football league. Caxias won the Campeonato Gaúcho – Rio Grande do Sul State Championship in 2000 and lost the 2012 Final to Sport Club Internacional. Its fiercest rival is Juventude, the other club based in Caxias do Sul. The local derby is known as Ca-Ju. In 2021, Grená is ranked as the 82nd best team in Brazil, according to the Brazilian Football Confederation Ranking. Estádio Centenário
The Estádio Francisco Stédile, usually known as the Estádio Centenário, is a multi-use stadium in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 30,802 people. It was built in 1976. The stadium was named after Francisco Stédile, who was Caxias' president during its construction. The stadium is nicknamed Centenário because it honors the centennial anniversary of the Italian colonization of Rio Grande do Sul. Laércio Soldá
Laércio Soldá (born 22 March 1993), sometimes known simply as Laércio (), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a central defender for Sukhothai in the Thai League. Club career Lajeadense Born in Marau, Rio Grande do Sul, Laércio Soldá represented Gaúcho, Passo Fundo, Ypiranga-RS and Lajeadense as a youth. In January 2012, he moved abroad and joined Swedish side Helsingborgs IF on loan. Celso Roth
Celso Juarez Roth (born 30 November 1957 in Caxias do Sul) is a Brazilian football manager and former player who played as a central defender. He is the current head coach of Juventude. Coaching career On 4 May 2009 the former Grêmio coach joined Atlético Mineiro until the end of the season, he replaces Émerson Leão. On 12 June 2010 Celso Roth was appointed as the coach of Internacional. About two-month after being appointed, he was rewarded with the 2010 Copa Libertadores title as Internacional beat Guadalajara in a two-leg final. On 8 April 2011 Roth was sacked with a decision from the board meeting. Tite (football Manager)
Adenor Leonardo Bacchi (born 25 May 1961), commonly known as Tite (), is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who was the head coach of the Brazil national team from 2016 to 2022. Tite played from 1978 to 1984 for Caxias, then a season for Esportivo de Bento Gonçalves and a season for Portuguesa. The three following seasons from 1986 to 1989 at Guarani were his most successful as player. At age 27, he ended his career due to successive knee injuries that caused him to lose mobility in one of his knees. From 1991 onwards, Tite coached more than 10 teams in more than 15 stints. Amongst these were his first club, Caxias that he returned to in 1999, and they won the 2000 Campeonato Gaúcho defeating Grêmio, which had Ronaldinho in its team. Ivo Ardais Wortmann (born 10 March 1949) is a Brazilian former professional football player and manager. Ivo Wortmann was a defensive midfielder as a player. Levir Culpi
Levir Culpi (born 28 February 1953) is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who played as a centre-back. Playing career Known as Levir during his playing days, he was born in Curitiba, Paraná, and started his career with hometown club Coritiba, in 1972. After spending a six-month loan deal at Botafogo the following year, he signed for Santa Cruz in 1974. Bento Gonçalves () is a municipality located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Created in 1875, it is one of the centers of the Italian immigration in Brazil.
