SCM CSU Craiova (handball)
SCM Universitatea Craiova is a Romanian professional basketball club based in Craiova. The club competes in Liga Națională, the top tier of Romanian basketball. History Over the last few years, the team has also been named CS Universitatea Craiova and CSU Craiova. SCM CSU Craiova reemerged last year on the big stage of Romanian basketball, after many years in the second division, and after withdrawing from the championship altogether, between 2004 and 2007. In the 2012-2013 season, SCM U Craiova finished on the 4th place (21 wins - 9 losses) at the end of the season and qualified for the Play-Offs. The Liga Națională Baschet de Masculin (LNBM) () is the top-tier professional basketball league of Romania. Founded in 1950, the winner of the league is crowned the Romanian national champion. Craiova (, also , ), is Romania's 6th Cities in Romania, largest city and capital of Dolj County, and situated near the east bank of the river Jiu River, Jiu in central Oltenia. The Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL), also known as the Balkan League, is a multinational professional basketball league that features mostly clubs from the Balkans. The league included teams from countries as Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania and Israel. The most recent league champion is Hapoel Galil Elyon from Israel.
