SAIFAM
The SAIFAM Group is the biggest Italian record label and production company featuring hardstyle, Italo dance, Eurodance, Hi-NRG, pop and fitness music genres. History The outfit was started by Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente, a production duo who produced more than 1,000 tracks, selling over ten million albums worldwide. In 1981, they created the Factory Sound Studio and the SAIFAM Group. The pair have been recognized as founders of HI-NRG, the genre in which they achieved their first gold records, thanks largely to localized translations of their songs in the Asian market. In the early 1990s, their hits included "What's Up" by DJ Miko, "Moments in Soul" by JT and the Big Family, and "Venus" by Don Pablo's Animals, which entered the European and American charts. Since the mid 1990s, thanks to the birth of the Arsenic Sound division of their company, other hits are being produced such as the Zombie Nation Remix which entered the official charts in Europe, America and Asia. ... DJ Miko
DJ Miko was an Italian dance act fronted by keyboardist Monier Quartararo Gagliardo (born 8 February 1973) and British vocalist Louise Anne Gard from Tunbridge Wells. It mainly released dance cover versions of past pop and rock hits and is primarily known for its 1993 hit with a cover of 4 Non Blondes' " What's Up". During its active years, DJ Miko released one album and twelve singles. The project was managed by the Milan-based record company Dig It International, for which Gagliardo already worked as an in-house producer, and released on its Hotline Records label. As with all other releases on Hotline Records, SAIFAM in Verona was responsible for the music production. Following the closure of Dig It International in 1997, the project was fully absorbed by SAIFAM. Hardstyle
Hardstyle is an electronic dance genre that emerged in the late 1990s, with origins in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Hardstyle mixes influences from techno, new beat and hardcore. Early hardstyle was typically written at 140 BPM (''beats per minute''), however modern hardstyle is faster, produced around 150 BPM. It consisted of overdriven and hard-sounding kick drums, often accompanied by an offbeat bass, known as a "reverse bass". As the genre grew, the production techniques and songwriting changed to be suited to a more commercial audience. Modern hardstyle can be recognized by its use of synthesizer melodies and distorted sounds, coupled with hardstyle's signature combination of percussion and bass. Hi-NRG
Hi-NRG (pronounced "high energy") is a genre of uptempo disco or electronic dance music (EDM) that originated in the United States during the late 1970s and early 1980s. As a music genre, typified by fast tempo, staccato hi-hat rhythms (and the four-on-the-floor pattern), reverberated "intense" vocals and "pulsating" octave basslines, it was particularly influential on the disco scene. Its earliest association was with Italo disco. Characteristics Whether hi-NRG is more rock-oriented than standard disco music is a matter of opinion. Hi-NRG can be heavily synthesized but it is not a prerequisite, and whether it is devoid of "funkiness" is, again, in the ear of the beholder. Bacon Popper was an electronic music duo best known for their 1998 dance single " Free," which was memorable in part for its lyrical refrain "you're just a bunch of freaks," and for its sample of U2's song "New Year's Day." "Free" peaked at number 43 on the Australian ARIA Charts. The duo was made up of Italian DJ and producer Paola Peroni and American vocalist Lisa Marie Simmons. Armando Christian Pérez (born January 15, 1981), known professionally by his stage name Pitbull, is an American rapper and businessman.
