Sławomir Nowak
Sławomir Ryszard Nowak (born 11 December 1974 in Gdańsk) is a Polish politician and a state official in Ukraine. He was elected to the Sejm on 25 September 2005, getting 9,061 votes in 25 Gdańsk district as a candidate from the Civic Platform list. He was also a member of Sejm 2001-2005. Nowak served as head of the electoral staff of a candidate for President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, during the 2010 presidential election. From 18 November 2011 to 27 November 2013 he served as Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy. On 24 October 2016 he was appointed chief of Ukrainian transport agency Ukravtodor and awarded Ukrainian citizenship. He was dismissed from the post of Ukravtodor's head in September 2019. Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy ( pl, Ministerstwo Transportu, Budownictwa i Gospodarki Morskiej) was formed on 21 November 2011, from transformation of '' Ministry of Infrastructure''. The ministry was concerned with various aspects of transport in Poland, as well as construction and maritime economy. The department was merged with the Ministry of Regional Development in November 2013 under Prime Minister Donald Tusk, creating the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development. Corruption is a historical issue in Ukrainian society often tied to a troubled relationship with Russia. Since regaining independence from Russia; Ukraine has faced a series of politicians, criminal bosses, and oligarchs who used corruption of police, political parties, and industry to gain power. National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine ( uk, Національне Антикорупційне Бюро України, ''НАБУ'') or NABU is a Ukrainian law enforcement anti-corruption agency which investigates corruption in Ukraine and prepares cases for prosecution. It has investigatory powers but cannot indict suspects. Only agency findings passed to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office become a part of criminal case. The agency was established in 2014 after its predecessor, the National Anti-Corruption Committee ( uk, Національний антикорупційний комітет) was considered a failure. The bureau was created on the request of the International Monetary Fund. The agency is set to employ 700 people. Its first 70 detectives started work on 1 October 2015.

The Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA, pl, Centralne Biuro Antykorupcyjne) is a division of the Polish government, reporting to the Prime Minister of Poland, responsible for addressing corruption in Poland. Ukrainian Citizenship
Ukrainian nationality law details the conditions by which a person holds nationality of Ukraine. The primary law governing these requirements is the law "On Citizenship of Ukraine", which came into force on 1 March 2001. Any person born to a Ukrainian citizen parent, both within the country or abroad, automatically receives Ukrainian citizenship by birth. Foreign nationals may naturalize after living in the country for at least five years and showing proficiency in the Ukrainian language. Ukraine was previously a constituent republic of the Soviet Union and local residents were Soviet citizens. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, all post-Soviet states established separate citizenship laws. The Ukravtodor or The State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine ( uk, Державне агентство автомобільних доріг України) is the agency within the Ministry of Infrastructure that oversees the road signs in Ukraine. History The state agency Ukravtodor was established as a state corporation in 1990, replacing the Ministry of Roadways of Soviet Ukraine as the state governing body of automobile roads in modern Ukraine. It is supplemented by a project institute Ukrhiprodor which designs objects of road management. Ukravtodor is supervised by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. On February 28, 2002, by the presidential order the state owned open stock company ''Avtomobilni dorohy Ukrainy'' (ADU) was created.
