SÅ‚awomir Drabik (born 6 February 1966 in Jawor, Poland) is a Polish speedway rider who has won 1996 Team World Champion title. Drabik was second in the 2003 Individual European Championship and 2007 European Pairs Championship. He was permanent rider of 1997 Speedway Grand Prix. He gained his Speedway licence in 1984. Jawor
Jawor (german: Jauer) is a town in south-western Poland with 22,890 inhabitants (2019). It is situated in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (from 1975 to 1998 it was in the former Legnica Voivodeship). It is the seat of Jawor County, and lies approximately west of the regional capital WrocÅ‚aw. European Pairs Speedway Championship
The European Pairs Speedway Championship is an annual speedway event held in different countries organized by the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) since 2004. Previous winners Rules The minimum age limit (16 years) starts on the date of the rider's birthday. Team composition The 6 (or 7) competing teams shall each consist of 3 riders: 2 riders having programmed riders and the third rider being a substitute, as follows: The substitute rider may take the place of any programmed rider, at any time, within the maximum number of permitted heats (5 when is 6 pairs and 6 when is 7 pairs) as decided by the Team Manager. The Poland national speedway team is the national motorcycle speedway team of Poland and is controlled by the Polish Motor Union ( PZM). The team is one of the major teams in international speedway and they won the Team World Championship nine times (last time in 2009 and 2010). The team has won 1971 Speedway World Pairs Championship also. Maksym Drabik (born 22 February 1998) is an international speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career Drabik won the gold medal at the World Under-21 Championship in the 2017 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship and the 2019 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship. In 2021, he was banned for breaking anti-doping rules (vitamin injection) by the Polish Doping Agency, the ban was back dated from 30 October 2020 (when he was initially suspended) to the 30 October 2021. In 2022, he helped Lublin win the 2022 Ekstraliga.
