Fălești District
Fălești () is a district ( ro, raion) in the north of Moldova, with the administrative center at Fălești. As of January 1, 2011, its population was 92,600. It borders Romania, in Western Moldova. History District towns, with the earliest historical attestation are Fălești, Scumpia, Călugăr, Horești first attested in the period 1429–1437. Especially in the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries, this region developed economically (trade) and culturally, as there was a significant increase in population. In the 18th century, as a result of the constant wars waged by the Principality of Moldavia and the Ottoman Empire, and later more frequent interventions of the Russian army, the region was in decline. In 1812, following the Treaty of Bucharest, the Russian Empire occupied Basarabia at the expense of the Principality of Moldavia. Leova District
Leova District is a district ( ro, raion) in the central part of Moldova, bordering Romania, with the administrative center at Leova. As of 1 January 2011, its population was 53,800. Poșta Moldovei ( en, Post of Moldova) is the company responsible for postal service in Moldova. The company was founded on April 1, 1993, as a result of the division of the postal communications sector from that of telecommunications. Since June 2005, the Poșta Moldovei is under the direction of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications. The first issue of postage stamps in the country was launched on June 23, 1991 through the series "The first anniversary of the proclamation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova".
