Søborg Railway Halt
Søborg halt is a railway halt located about north east of the village of Søborg near Gilleleje on the island of Zealand, Denmark. The halt is located on the Hornbæk Line from Helsingør to Gilleleje. The train services are currently operated by the railway company Lokaltog which runs frequent local train services between Helsingør station and Gilleleje station. History The halt opened in 1916 as the Helsingør-Hornbæk railway line from Helsingør along the coast of the Øresund to Hornbæk was continued from Hornbæk station onwards along the coast to Gilleleje. The rail transport system in Denmark consists of 2,633 km of railway lines, of which the Copenhagen S-train network, the main line Helsingør-Copenhagen-Padborg (at the German border), and the Lunderskov-Esbjerg line are electrified. Most traffic is passenger trains, although there is considerable transit goods traffic between Sweden and Germany. Maintenance work on most Danish railway lines is done by Banedanmark, a state-owned company that also allocates tracks for train operators. Gilleleje station () is the main railway station serving the fishing town and seaside resort of Gilleleje on the north coast of the island of Zealand, Denmark. The station is the terminus of the Hornbæk Line from Helsingør to Gilleleje and of the Gilleleje branch of the Gribskov Line from Hillerød to Gilleje.
