Södermanland Wing
Södermanland Wing (), also F 11 Nyköping, or simply F 11, is a former Swedish Air Force wing (air force unit), wing with the main base located in south-east Sweden. History The wing was set up outside Nyköping in 1940 as a long range reconnaissance wing with two squadrons of Caproni Ca.313, S 16B. After the war, the aircraft were replaced with Seversky P-35, J 9 from Svea Air Corps, Svea Wing (F 8) and an additional squadron of Junkers Ju 86, B 3 from Västmanland Wing (F 1). In 1946, two additional squadrons of Saab 18, S 18 were added. In 1948, F 11 became the sole Swedish operator of three squadrons of Supermarine Spitfire, S 31 when the Junkers Ju 86, B 3 and Seversky P-35, J 9 became obsolete. In 1953, De Havilland Vampire, J 28 jet fighters were used for one year to train pilots for the introduction of the Saab Tunnan, S 29 in 1954. The Saab 18, S 18 squadrons were replaced by the Saab 32 Lansen, S 32 in 1958 and the Saab Tunnan, S 29s by Saab 35 Draken, J 35s in 1964. ...

Saab 18
The Saab 18 was a twin-engine bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, designed and built by Svenska Aeroplan AB (SAAB) for use by the Swedish Air Force in response to a 1938 design competition. Due to delays, it did not enter service until 1944, but quickly became the standard Swedish bomber aircraft. Serving in the bomber, reconnaissance and ground-attack roles, it also assisted in the development of ejection seats and air-to-surface guided missiles until its replacement by the Saab Lansen in the late 1950s. The de Havilland DH.104 Dove is a British short-haul airliner developed and manufactured by de Havilland. The Saab 91 Safir (Swedish for sapphire) is a three (91A, B, B-2) or four (91C, D) seater, single engine trainer aircraft.
